So, I have 3 Sour Cracks going in a 2x4x6 tent. Growing in 3 gal airpots with promix hp.
Here’s the link to my grow

Anyways, 2 of my plants are pretty short (10.5 in) and the nodes are impossibly tight. Opening them up isn’t an option and I’ve defoliated them as much as I’m comfortable with so I decided to try something. I had them three across with each having their own autocob, now I’ve put 2 together with one autocob above the 2 and I’ve taken the free autocob and dropped it down and angled it to hit them both from the side. I’ve attached a pic to illustrate. Any comments, concerns, or suggestions are all welcome.

Checked on the plants before I left for work and everything is looking good- no light stress of any kind so far...

This wont help you now but for future grows it might help. I get short plants with nodes stacked on top of each other when I have the lights too close to the plant during veg. I have two grow spaces one with a short ceiling and the other with a ten foot ceiling. The short ceiling space always produces short plants with tight node stacking while the other does not.

were the lights the same height from the canopy thru the grow? And how much taller is the tallest plant? It looks a lot better.

That second picture really shows what you mean. Amazing how stacked the leaves are on the main cola. Is there any room for flowers is a question too.

Lights were always at equal heights from the canopy from each plant. Early on I had them at roughly 4 feet above then lowered a bit then raised but whenever I made a change I made equal changes on all cobs except for when one of the plants was noticeably smaller and I kept that one even higher... Anyways, so far I’m happy with the autocobs output and spread. I’ve made a minor change to the arrangement of plants and autocobs and feel like this is how I’m going to leave things all the way to the end. Basically when I first made the change I moved the middle plant beside one of the end plants and ended up dropping and angling the middle cob. Now, I’ve made a change for the better in my opinion. I believe this small change will be even more beneficial. I’ve put the single plant off to one side of the tent with an autocob above it. Then the two plants beside it in the middle spot with an autocob above the two. I feel that with the plants placed so close together there will be the benefit of light spillover from one autocob to the other and the third is on the other end of the tent lowered and angled to hit the plants from the side. Arranging things like this ends up with the single plant on the opposite end of the tent also benefiting from side lighting that’s passing the other 2 plants in front of it. I’ve attached pics to show the current setup vs how I first toyed with the idea. Btw their heights are 16 inch and two @ 10 inch

Home from work. Just checked on things and I’m very pleased with what I see. I can see noticeable improvements already. Although the plants are quite small in stature, if these buds swell up to their full potential I might just end up with a decent result considering their size.
