Hi everyone... im going in for minor surgery today and im going to admit im nervous. I have never had to have a knife taken to me for anything and i was just wondering if you think it would be ok if i smoke some nice indica just to calm the nerves a bit? They are not knocking me out or anything....

Peace:peace:

I've had 5 major medical events in my life so far, not including minor illnesses, and assorted minor wounds. Years of recovery and physical rehab, all under heavy pharma, all while smoking. Never once has it been an issue*.

*Edit: And it has never been the cause of the injuries.
Never been military. Not accident prone, just never shied away from a calculated risk.

Since they aren't putting you out, I'd say (I'm not a Doctor) that it's okay...but if anesthesia is involved, it's something they'll ask
about and they will kibosh the procedure if you have....they don't know how the cannabis modifies the amount to be administered
and don't want the liability should something go haywire....I had an endoscopy rescheduled due to that once.

I smoked a bowl before going to have my appendix removed and it helped me tremendous. But the whole not being able to eat before and having the munchies probably sucks!

best of luck with the surgery bro!! It's gonna be all good!! :karma Cloud:

Not for argument because you are right.
My doctors always knew that I smoked and why from day one or as soon as I could speak.. Not telling them would be as dumb as lying to your lawyer. I have gone in for procedures from outpatient and although the anesthetist always checked that I stuck to the pain medication dosage, they just never asked about weed and I damn sure never offered it to mixed company, relying on my doc to supply him with what was pertinent as he did with the pain med. and others. I have to figure the gas passer did get a heads up from the doc and either considered the risk too negligible to mention or used a default amount of adjustment for the circumstances. I was delayed once for slightly high blood pressure so I know they certainly do postpone easily.
