a joint for the last 57 years. never a bong, it filters thc out of the smoke makes it weaker. have a vape, prefer a joint by far.

Both decent vapes but very different. The pax is a put conduction vaporizer. The Solo 2 is ai a Hybrid style, meaning that id relies on convection and conduction combined.
The Pax is a more discreet portable than the Solo 2 but to get the best efficiency out of it, one should start and finish the entire pack in one session. where as the Solo 2 is less discreet.
The Solo 2 is packed in the removable stem so you can just take a hit and remove the stem from the oven to conserve your pack from being cooked. So you can take another hit later.
The Pax has a fairly large chamber compared to the Solo 2. Vapor quality wise the Solo 2 is the winner in most peoples eyes.
There are a ton of vapes to choose from but if you decide to choose do plenty of research on what kind of vape suits you best, "Session" or "On Demand" style.

Joint, bong... pipe, good with all. Am ready to switch to vapes, have dropped lots of cash... none ever come out of the drawer again.
Am a nicotine vaper... @ sub ohm. If I could find a vape that would hit like my mod, I'd be interested... I'm a straight to the lung guy, and need a lot of flow.... dabs are great, but portability vs cost... I already carry a high power box mod... it's time for someone to make an atomizer that I can just swap out... not a lot of big ceramic coils available, or I'd just make my own.
Am 52, and my dad, 84, has recently found the plant. He bought a firefly 2, to get anything out of it I have to hit it like sucking thru a coffee stir stick.... not worth my time... there shouldn't be a learning curve with getting high....

At 50 on my end I’m hearing you man. Slowly shaking off cigs with my vape device. Hated the “flavors” we have to choose from so recently settled on no flavor. It works for me. And spot on comment about a learning curve to get high. I’d really like to switch to vaping my flowers or rosin, eventually.
To the ops question. My hand made glass pipe...buddy is a glass blower. I break one every six months or so and he gives me his “damaged” pipes that the aristobrats in our area won’t buy. Joints for nostalgia at times.

if you are interested in vapes and have Mods. Check out the 510 set ups, like the RBT Splinter, StemPod or Divine Tribe V2. All these are run off Mod boxes.

Have tried a ton, best of the bunch was made by honeystick, for a tank it was ok, but to get it to perform, I was well above the rated wattage, and the ceramic coil (good, needs larger flow) would burn instead of vape. Dial it down and it wasn't a hole lot more than a cart from a dispensary.
Think I'm gonna give an electric nectar straw a try, will still add to what I carry, but if I can hit the performance it'd be worth it. And the engineer in me says this one might be a winner.
Oh sorry those i listed were for flower. I use a HVT Top Air Flow Saionara with my LV Paranormal DNA250c for concentrates. Ti skillet or Quartz bucket coil depending on my mood.

Seems, at least up till now, that the people making the gear weren't users, at least that's what I've felt using the products.
That being said, I started vaping years ago, and moved directly to dripping and building my own stuff... tanks just couldn't get there at the time. Things have changed, and several tanks check the boxes, I should probably give the new round a go, tech moves fast....
If I just keep doin it the way I've always done.... I'd still be growing under HPS!
