Yup it did. Didn't know that about the 338 tho. Always wanted an AR10 cuz always HATED the 556. Wanted something with a little more ass behind it. I've always believed that if you have to shoot more than once, that's your ass! I liked the 300's flexibility; interchangeable with M4/AR frame and bolts, reload-ability, and I don't need the super-long range ballistics. 200m-300m will do. I'm looking to buy an AR sniper package with suppression or similar semi-auto in a 30-range caliber in the next couple of months. (Took out a loan for the roof with "a little extra"!) Was going to go with an AR10 variant NATO 7.62/308 or AAC. Saw an AR AAC sniper package at a nearby shop, custom in-house fabbed with match trigger, rails, full optics, 'pod; 1600 w/o suppression. Beautiful piece of hardware.

But seeing as how you mention it... gonna have to give the 338 a look see.

tex the whispers are wildcat so no off the shelf but i don't think you would have a problem there they say the 338 375 and 416 whisper all start as 7mmbr 308 case head so 308 brass should work

i hate the spring the bolt recoils into in the stock on ar's i squeeze the trigger and feel that spring move and flinch every damn time Im a bolt guy and i really wanta stretch it out on my life to do list is take a trophy pronghorn @800min that's why i want a 260rem long range precision with alittle less wind deflection

i like the look of the hart 6 groove bull barrels <they were once contracted for m40 barrels

Yeah, I feel that. For hunting, I still feel the bolt is best. I still love my old Winchester 70 'aught-six. The prepper in me wants different though. The AR wouldn't be for game. BTW, there is a hydraulic buffer available for the AR that's a lot smoother and helps cut recoil and muzzle lift. When I was in New Mexico, we had pronghorn walking right through the TAC site. Ballsy buggers! What they didn't know, but soon found out was my PLTSgt. had brought his bow! :xlaugh:

I've got to learn what I need and how to reload. My uncle did it, but didn't teach any of us how. Looks like the startup is a bit pricey, but one needs the proper tools for the job.

Man, don't TEASE me like that! I LOVE the Garand! Even thought about the sniper version (new frame, not old re-purposed), but I ain't got near the 3k to throw down for it! Thanks to the Dictator-in-chief, there are tens of thousands of them languishing in South Korea just waiting to come home!

i scoped the berry ryder nugs trichs are getting ambered heavily as it drys almost there few more days but ive dryed dryed 7grams and this shit will give you brain damblage cant really say what i taste my pipe ain't the cleanest and damned if the gas station was out of papers but when ya chop up the nugs it smells like bluberry muffins
