Live Stoner Chat So I went to amsterdam..

and found it hard to get stoned!!

Dont get me wrong.. there was some seriously tasty weed to be had.. but it was not potent in any way shape or form.. even my own meager effort at home grown weed has yielded much stronger smoke!!

Has anyone else had this experience?? Surely it's not just me..

Maybe it's a well known fact that I just missed??

I tried maybe 7/8 strains, maybe more, in much bigger quantities than I usually would, all from the coffeeshops, including one very well known 'brand named' shop.. and yea very tasty stuff.. but not much effect.. I was honestly expecting to be blown away.. but was left feelin well.. short changed.. in every way lol

Lol no hookers Archie.. the missiz didn't fancy it.. she smoked her socks off too and was pretty much in the same boat.. gram after gram.. for around 14/16 grams over 2.5 days.. maybe I was expecting too much but honestly even the stuff I usually get my hands on at home, when the harvest runs out, is much harder hitting.. we would usually smoke 2/3 grams a day weekends and a bit less during the week as a comparison..

I have only been once. In 1995 for the 8th annual CC. I have heard over the years that the killer is saved for this event and the rest of the year it's average smoke. Being that High Times did not hold the event this year I would assume the average smoke is very common because there is no more prize/fame to be had. I also got some bunk shit in a small shop that wasn't participating in the Cup while I was there. Lit up in hotel room, 2 hits and the joint and bag flew out the window. Lesson learned.

Katsu or 1e hulp were awesome for me, they had gorilla glue and even concentrates. I stay away from the usual Bulldog and Barneys etc,

I visited Smokey.. only because we arrived at 10pm and it was the only place I could sort of locate.. tried their haze and white widow.. awful.. weak and tasteless.. the worst of them all to be honest.. over the next 2 days went to Barneys, 420 cafe, and Barakka (was directly facing the hotel) tried quite a few strains at Barneys.. cookies kush, vanilla kush, blue cheese, pineapple chunk, red cherry berry, tangerine dream.. at 420 cafe tried their blueberry and 420 kush (the tastiest weed i've smoked in a long while!!) and can't remember what we tried at Barakka but possibly more blueberry, the missiz picked there It's not like I didnt get any stone at all but I mean you look at the alleged THC levels in some of the Barneys strains and you would expect that to beat your normal smoke hands down.. I just didnt find that to be the case at all.. I like a good indica sit down and shut up kinda stone.. felt like I could have smoked the Amdam stuff til forever (and til I was several hundred euro down) and never got to that point.. it just wasnt happening.. I should say that all the Barneys strains were delicious to smoke BTW, really good, as was the BB from cafe 420 and the Kush from there well.. superb taste wise..

I'd say that Smokey and Barney's are definitely 'touristy' type coffeeshops but the other two were more your small old style coffeeshop.. not really any difference in the weed between any of them if I'm honest..
