Mephisto Genetics SODK in a Bigger Hempy pot

What matters most is what works best for each growers wants/needs. Personally for me using 2 gal of straight Coco is ideal to grow a plant in. I have a set of 8gal AutoPots containers that are shrink wrapped still, I bought the 2.2 gal to replace them. I could grow 4 plants with 8 gal of Coco...Roasty could grow 16 plants! Trust me Roasty, 16 of your 2l hempy's will out yield 1 plant in 8gal of Coco!!! Btw, anyone need some 8 gal AutoPot containers? Brand new, I will seriously never use them, that is the size they came with, I paid extra for smaller containers... Ha
I think I have some 2gallon plastic trash baskets I could convert to hempy. I'm a big fan of coco and I am able to water few times a day if needed. Ive thought about buying those auto pots but than was just thinking my hempys have done well for me so didn't pick up the auto pots.

Thanks for joining in guys.:welcome:

Have to agree with s&e, i preffer the size of plant from the lil Hempy's. Smaller plants that really pack on the weight. Autopots are basicly a hempy that get auto fed from the bottom while a hempy gets top fed by hand or automated. Both have the res that the tap can just suck sweet nectar from, think thats why they yield so well. I do like both setups compared to others. Keeping it stupid simple here.

I think maybe you should try 3 or 4 litres sometime. You might get the best of both worlds, slightly bigger plant, slightly better yield. The number one problem with small containers is that 1 time drying out too much can cause burning, discoloration, or worse. Slightly bigger would give you a little more leeway in watering schedule. Just my opinion. You are doing great. I love other people who have success growing in small containers. You get 4oz off 2l of Coco. Some people would have to grow 4 -8 plants in 5 gal of soil each to get that...And are happy.

Ya I like the thought of 4 liter, deffo going to try that.
My personal best 2 liter was Chem Bubbly x 2 and I got 155g off one, and 147g off the other. But consistently hitting between 2 and 4 zips depending on strain.

This SODK is deffo the biggest girl I've ever had, auto or photo.

I have had some insanely big plants. But I don't like big plants. I like small to medium sized plants with ZERO WASTE and easy trimming. Vs large plants with various sized buds and excessive trimming. Don't get me wrong, I still have monster photo strains.l that yield well and people want. But for Autos, I prefer faster finishing small to medium sized strains that I can do more of/more often. But I am fortunate to be able to have a large variety.

Totally agree, I really enjoy plants i can trim in 2 hours or less. Haven't really grown a monster, yet anyways, but according to Hans, the huge ones are a long miserable process.
I love variety myself, that was my main reason for limiting my plants in 2 liter. More room for more flavors, but that is not necessary any more.

You think a person can't get 4 zips from 5 gallons of soil ? I see growers on here pull an oz per gallon every time in soil :pop:. Roasty does it well every grow no matter the pot size or strain :slap:. I do look forward to reading one of your finished journals when you complete one, as I have subbed on each since you joined and 3 are well :poof: if you need help feel free to ask. :vibe:

I am not saying people can't yield well in Soil. But do you ever see anyone pulling 4oz in 2l of SOIL? I had a Total Hip Replacement 2 months ago, and I am 41 years old. I have 4 different gardens to tend to. Take a look at my 3 Bear OG thread if you want to see some finished plants. I tried some Biotabs and the results are disappointing, check out my Autocob thread. I can't document every moment of my growing for everyone else. If you want to see something specific, ask. I have been growing for 20 years my friend, if you ever need help...You can ask. And for what it is worth, one of my rental houses caught on fire....So more than just my threads went POOF

I lost at least $20,000 in just equipment and plants. The fire and water damage destroyed everything. Including all of the Auto Plants I had there. And a whole basement of photo plants. Too bad, they were doing great. You can't finish a thread when everything is destroyed by a fire. I had a bunch of Auto stains destroyed.
