Hi everyone!

First off let me Apologise for being the archetypical noob, I've decided to experiment and grow a single small narcotic kush from COTC and want minimum fuss.

I'm aware that after several weeks I will need to add nutrients, but I'm looking for advice on soil.

What is the best to just get up and grow? (If you'll excuse the pun) I dont want to be dicking around with coco noir and other things. Just soil in a pot that does the job

all recommendations are welcome :) thanks in advance

Hi Chin, first let me say welcome to AFN! Glad to have you here and you will get all the info you could possbily need here from great people with good vibes. You should go to the introductions forum and start a thread there just saying high to everyone so they will know who you are and you will get more responses to your questions if folks know who you are.

As for your question, be prepared to get about 100 different answers as you have asked a question that is mainly based on personal preference. I personally grow in Hydro so my soil knowledge is a little dated.

When I grew in soil I used Fox Farm's Ocean Forrest, but that was a long time ago and there are many more options available nowadays. You might want to check out the Fertilizers and Soil forum, as there are lots of reviews from people who have used almost all of the products out there(it really is super helpful because it is no based on the company trying to sell you a product these are real folk with no biased opinions)

Again welcome to AFN! And Happy Growing!

imo your best bet for the most hassel free grow is a solid TLO mix.period! adding stuff makes you have to break out bottles n add this m that n a lil of this each time you water pretty much.I do it differently cuz Im learning but in all honesty I could have EASILY used a water only system with big bloom n a lil kelp bubbled during flower a cpl times n thats it.pure water only and a purely buffering soil.

but nutes (which is not organic in the slightest btw)can be used pretty easy with some lime added to a decent mix like miracle grow organics line,Dr. Earth black bag, country soil, and a bumper crop amendment which'll add extra calcium into your soil, epsom salt too and that just about do it.should add some prilled lime or powdered dolomite lime to your mix whichever way you choose to go.hope that helps a little.be good dude!:Sharing One:

Thank you guys! Hugely appreciate both your opinions, I think I'm going to start with biobizz all mix and as time progresses start experimenting with different soils!

i shall say hello in the newbies section soon!
