soil question

I appleokize swampman but ur answer didnt healp me at all!

I don't want to build a super soil at the moment, i want to make the soil i have now super.

I am kuessing your talking about the EWC above ?

What do you mean by teas? Like mix kelp and fish? And brew worms and mix? I need more clarity here.

I know i'm trying to use you guys as magic lamps but my questions are pretty simple.

sup dude, to utilize them properly short of an bubbled compost tea or a soup style feeding(ya need a basic TLO soil) your soil will only hold and utilize the immediate nutes within the Soup style or bubble compost teas. There are several links n stickies in the organics section to fully understand Teas better. But your best best for future referance is to build an albeit, basic soil compound within the TLO relm, or just slap thee most basic thing together.Fishies n Molasses n various components to achieve the same effect(s) that the soil (a well blended soil) will achieve all by itself for the most part.you'll be mixing a lot of ferts doing it that way.thats soup style.Teas are when added kind of the same things except its bubbled and activated more so with the bubbles n aeration of said compounds.

But to be honest on your next grow or even now ,being ready FOR yer next grow.build a basic TLO styled soil mix and that way next run you'll be good to go bro.moreover using a basic soup feed with bubble within a fair soil will go a loooong way vs. any nute system around.so soils in unison with light, basic teas are the way to truly grow organic.Visit the stickies and various threads to figure out which style you want to do.sounds like soup feeds to me.hope this help ya out dude.:vibes:

Thanks eyes, i had some learning to do and now i am catching on i think. I have roots/fox as my base, epsoma/hofman as my top layer and then i put the all purpose organic fert on top(topdress) and i also put some earthworm castings on top as well.

My thought was the only think i might need is a cal/mag for flower? I plan on using a little fish fert after maybe 5 weeks or so and then maybe some kelp as well.

No worries buddy, its my pleasure to lend my opinion.there is really two way you can go here.is you take the soil and amendments ,mix em n let em cook for 2 months while hitting it with a good living tea.or use living teas and things like Cal Mag(use all throughout grows) to build the soil and while its time to reamend after a grow, mix all your soils up n again use a living tea and any Lime,EWC or basic amendments and let them sit again for another month or more.Thats why imho its good to have two or three batches to work over a year or more, and thats what truly builds a living soil.and with teas, yeah man,yer goin then!LOL!

you should collect and mix n screen roots out after ever pot n grow no matter which way you choose to use your soil.Cooked n blended or just as an organic mix to work with Teas..There is always several ways to go imo when your talking Soil and organics.Teas too,but teas are pretty straight forward.:smoke:

I'm trying to focus on this grow but i am taking this all in as well. I am real eyezing you are empowering me for the long run here which i appreciate. My situation now is, ive got a few seeds germinating so im gonna have to move them into the mix i described in a week or 2, maybe 3 at the most. All i have for the moment for teas is i can make an EWC tea and feed that to it for maybe 2 weeks then im gonna have to get the seeds to the soil.

Im just trying to be as prepared as possible for this grow, with what i have now, making sure i have everything that will be needed.

Thanks again.

And one last thing on Fish Ferts as a rule.you can use high N Fush through Veg and switch to bloom after a transition feed or two. Then back off the Bloom fish as well as the N fish too.even in Teas.its ok to use, say,a 10-20% dose per TWO gallons of Tea imo...Sup with Bone meals,EWC,organic liquid kelps n so on.if used throughout it can taint taste if used throughout bloom.dont need much but by the time your done after a couple grows, your gonna have a well blended soil and kept moist throughout it'll be truly living n breathing."AFN smoke out"Thats exactly what I did, seems to be working out pretty good,so I cant complain LOL!Be good dude! onward for your prep for the future, and future grows.:smoke:

I once Didnt Want to Build a Super Soil Either ...I wanted to Experiment as well
Go ahead And Use what u got and Keep learnin Just like I did ..From alot of Countless Pointless Mistakes ..
Organics needs Basically Balance....More of this Or Less of that is Never the Key ..
( Learned The Hard Way ) ...for 2 years it took me ...99 plants and Still had Problems...

Then X Finally Told me the same As Stated here ...
Follow a Proven Recipie ....Tlo Recipie ..
Build the Soil ...Have No worrries....

Its Very easy Mixing Ph Water ...And Molasses every 2 weeks ...
I have a Black Cream amd A Few grows down ...But the soil is cooked for 90 days strong...

Thats a nice link man. Thanks!I made a small yeast and rice wash culture I fed to my soil awhile back from something Eek mentioned.I bet using fruit pulp would add a Lot,I used my living seedling mix and composted castings a couple times.Ive never seen that."AFN smoke out" if I dont have access to true composting piles or anything.Whats the best alternative?I used my living seedling soil and castings and a local fungus type of compost tea.worked pretty well.
