Hey all. Not new to this earth (and getting older all the time, but newer to AFN), and have several grows under mah belt.

I'll be looking up soil posts in here, but wanted to get any quick thoughts or feedback on what I've used before.

6/10 SunGro [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] prof soil less mix
2/10 vermiculite
1/10 worm castings
1/10 manure (1/2 sheep, 1/2 steer)

It's seemed to do well for me. I know to avoid soil with timed release nutes. I've only fertilized using liquid organic bloom and flower 2 part nutes.

If you're soil shopping, be sure to do a search on @pop22 organic soils.
I'm using a slightly tweaked basic soil recipe of his with great results.

thanks for the tip :hump:
You bet. His recipes get as simple or as complicated as you want, but brilliant organic mixes.
A sample of my first run using his most basic mix, Polar Express and Candy Kush (both from AutoSeeds), day 37 under T5's:

A word of warning though. @pop22 is very old and hard of hearing. I would ask all my questions to him in caps, LIKE THIS.

LOL

man, he's got a ton of stuff out there. Gonna be busy for awhile...in a good way :woohoo1:

I've never heard of autoseeds before....they are looking good!
I'm really impressed so far with their genetics. And don't tell pops I called him old and deaf! :crying:

hey @captcold and welcome to AFN my man. Plenty of mud monkeys round here to get nerdy on soil with you. I like to fling a bit mud to but not on the living side of things. @Eyes on Fire is another soil man so worth talking to, his grows are great.
Have fun dude, passing this on...

Looks like a good mix never used sun grow or the manure but those are all good things to get microbial action going I would probably let that cook for a bit though.
I'm taking your advice, mixing this week and letting it sit for a month, thank you....
