New Grower Soil too hot??

OK it's not my first grow but it's my first time making a soil mix and I wish I had researched it a bit better first. I was using the instructions on the ingredients as a guide so I'm afraid it might be too hot.

I'm using 18l pots and put mixed soil in the bottom 2/3 and plagron lightmix with no additives (apart from 10l of coco) in the top 1/3. I had planned on doing them half and half but had the soil already mixed and nowhere to dispose of it without being seen.

The lower 2/3 of the pots consists of a mix of:

50l Plagron Lightmix
2 coco bricks (so 20l according to the pack)
1.66l of guano (aprox. 1kg)
Half a 25l bag of Plagron Mega Worm (12.5l)

Will this burn my seedlings? I already thave them germinating in some cubes.

Likely too hot from the guano.. 10-20% of the volume added would probably be sufficient.
I normally only amend bottom 1/3 of pot. Hope that helps...

Ah crap.

Don't know why they have guys working in grow shops that have no idea what they're at. [emoji35]

What are my options here?

With my remaining supplies I could mix up whats already in the pots, making it 30% lighter. I could then use that in the lower 1/2 of the pots and use my leftover lightmix and coco for the top half.

Or should i start over? Preferably not as I'm quiet short of money and time now

Diluting the mix with coco and light mix will certainly help.. if you start a grow journal we can keep an eye on progress...

Is it just me or do manufacturers get their instructions wrong all the time? Any nutes I've used have been waaayy too strong at half strength. The guano says 5l per 100l in potting soil...I have almost 100l between the soil and coco and only used half strength.

I will be doing a journal but updates might not be as frequent as I would like. I will be juggling university and a full time job next week so time will be scarce!

So you think if i mix whats already in the pots, use it as the soil for lower half and use fresh lightmix for top half, I should be OK?

Plagron...3 15 4.. high P guano. Its the one I have.. I added < 300ml for 30L of strong mix..for 3 plants

Yeah its the Plagron stuff all right. Looks like I'll have to get more soil so and make a fresh mix. I wonder what ratio could I add my mix to fresh soil to get it right?

You used about 1/5 of the guano so maybe I'll mix 1/5 of my strong mix to the fresh soil with a little more worm casting

Sorry, you actually used 1/5 for 30l so 900ml would be about right for my 90-100l. If I dilute mine by 50% it should be OK I think
