Mephisto Genetics Sour Orange Livers nute line battle. MEGA CROP vs AN with Air injection

I'm sure I will get to that point. However, this is for experimental and I want to know exactly how it stacks up against AN. I use Coco, what medium are you using? Thanks
My blend id 30% peat 30% worm castings 30% Burpee Organic grow mix (coco)

I am hoping the new mix helps the MC girl. I can see the difference in the color even more this morning. I turned on the Airdomes yesterday. That will make things go faster. So I should see a difference in the color within a couple days if it is better. I don't think 3g is enough for Coco plants, I never run my EC that low with any other nutes. But I wanted to try the different strength of MC. They claim to have a ton of Calmag in the MC mix. They said an additional 1-2g per gal may be needed for some strains. I am going to measure the EC of just the Calmag next time I make water. I am curious as to how strong it is by itself.
BTW, I am not going to waste my time using the 3g water on the Sour Crack seedlings. I know it isn't strong enough water, I would not feed that light with the AN. To make this as equal as possible I want the nute strength to be similar. The AN girl looks better now, and she clearly likes the strength.

Good news Everyone! As stated before I am always amazed at how fast Autos change, of course Airdomes speed things up even more. So I woke up this morning to a darker looking MC plant. There is new growth and it is nice looking. I can tell that this strength is much better. I will make another jug tonight at the same strength. I have been feeding the Sour Cracks the same, I have the one plugged into the Airdome already. I will wait about 5 more days to hook up another. I want to see if turning the dome on this early will do anything compared to without. I predict that it will speed it up, and we will see a difference in a few days.

Ok, more new growth today...But I am still not satisfied with the color. I did a check on my Magical strength that I use with AN last night, it was .4-.5 EC all by itself. We will call it .4 to go with the lighter value. So I just did an EC check on Calmag pro, I added 2g per gal to see what the higher dose they suggest reads. It was .3 EC at 2g per gal. Which is lower than Magical. However, MC supposedly has 6.5% Calmag...so I think that would balance out to be more like AN strength. 1g per gal of Calmag pro is not enough for Autos, Coco, and Cobs at this strength. I always have to use a ton in my set up. But I wanted to try MC Out as directed. I don't trust their suggestions for my set up, I always need a lot of Calmag...Regardless of strain. My experience is more valuable than their suggestions, they are going by Photo plants with HPS and not Coco. Btw, the pH of this stuff is not consistent. Today this pH is 6.45. I will Let It sit for a few hours And recheck/adjust as needed. The EC Is 1.1, Exactly The AN strength now. Lets See If It Helps. Also, the Sour Crack Seedlings look perfect still. The Airdome is Making the Coco dry Out faster, this Will translate To Faster growth. I think A growth Spurt Is Going to Happen Soon With it.

I let that mix sit for a couple hours and rechecked. It went from 6.45 to 6.0...so if anyone is using this stuff don't use the reading immediately after making it up. Wait a few hours and then adjust it. I am going to make my nutes up the night before I need them, for this reason specifically. My goal is to find a good strength and try my drip stakes with MC in the near future. However, I need to know how well it maintains pH before using a big reservoir. Seems like if you let it sit overnight it remains pretty stable. I would not add nutes freshly made to my reservoir, it moves too fast. Even Greenleaf suggested to wait overnight, and it will stabilize.

Good info (I will be running Mega Crop in DWC next grow).
Do you aerate the water/nutes before adjusting pH also?

I use RO water, so I don't aerate it before mixing. But when I use my drip stakes I have an underwater fan that circulates the water to keep it mixed up. It does a better job than an airstone. Right now I am just hand watering with MC. Only Making a Gal at a time. So, mixing is not an issue.

I rechecked the water, it is 6.2. I fed a little and will turn on Airdomes tomorrow. The AN girl is catching up, but the base nutes mix is stronger than MC. I have a feeling I may have to bump up the MC feed with the Airdomes. But I will use this jug for a couple days and see how things look. I have Sweet Candy in this jug. It raised the EC just a tad.
Hey @slowandeasy can i ask why the higher ph?. I was always told to treat coco like hydro and ph 5.7-6..but i can see the higher ph during flower to keep pk uptake good
