So my growing slowed a lot thru the summer / fall. Lost my mother in October. The months leading up to were pretty stressful, and the ones after haven't exactly been my favorites... but I digress... I had a couple photos running in veg, more for something to occupy myself, September and October... well,

I flipped the lights Dec 1, am on a 70 day run for the big girl, the sativa will run longer a bit....

But... here I am on day 40... 30 days from the monster in my tent leaving... and I thought.. can I squeeze 1 plant in between now and when I cut the sativa? Or close? Figure I'm about 60 out on that one so...

Sour Crack... your up. Sorry your only gonna see 12-12

Am finally feeling comfortable with the Nectar for the gods line, but I'll be running her in coco, so that's a bit of a change. Honestly not expecting much, other than more control over the root zone.

RO water
4x4 tent
6" exhaust
450 watts DIY 3500 COB.

Given the nute line, I'm probably gonna freak a few out with were I run the pH, I'll be high for coco throughout. NFTG sayS treat it like soil... so... 6.2-6.8

Dunked 2 seeds in RO water with a couple drops of Zeus juice yesterday morning, sunk by evening, tails by this morning.

Opened the tent a few weeks back and she said "stop moping and let's grow some weed"

Now how am I supposed to refuse an order like that?

Do NOT PH coco like soil. That saying is meant for watering but still not appropriate. In coco i find my best plats right at 6.0 bit 5.8-6.2 is where i think it should be left. Here is a soil and coco/hydro chart i like to peak at every once in awhile.

I understand your concern, part of that is the nutrient uptake. I'm not pushing with salts... NFTG uses calcium as the transport. Calcium uptake is @ a higher pH than a sodium based nutrient line.

I pulled this off another forum, and has been what I've gleaned from others that have moved from soil.View attachment 998561
I like 5.8ish for the majority of growth heading towards 6.1ish towards the end in Canna Coco with RO. Another lesson I learned the hard (sort of) way: Make sure you have a 2nd pH device to verify your actual pH. I trusted a meter that went skizzo in the last 2 weeks. Make sure to keep the probe moist with clean RO, and grab a 2nd pen as a backup. Calibrate them on a regular basis and always spend the extra 20 seconds to check with both. Those $12 yellow meters on Amazon are a China knockoff of a Milwaukee meter from what I've heard. They do work great, but don't trust em without a backup, especially for a dozen dollars. Just my two pennies. Plants look great btw.

THEY'RE called KAAAAHBS Joe's dad's stuff

Have good equipment, burned years ago by the cheapie meters...

Am good with growing in coco, just haven't in a couple years, always was down in the same ph range.

Am comfortable with the nutrient line as well... in soil.... and found that when I saw issues, it was almost always my soil ph being under 6.3 or lower.... if I keep it in the 6.5 to 6.8 range everything runs fine.

Now all that being said... I am not comfortable with this nute line in coco.... and the majority of issues I've "read" about, or heard the owner of the company address with coco is that the nutrient requirements are the same, given the different transport molecule.... run the ph high...

Guess we're gonna see....

First off I want to say I am sorry for your loss. I too lost my mother this year and something about losing a parent changes things for us. Things become a little more sad, yet you realize what is important and that is comforting in a way. You will have good and bad days. But keeping yourself busy helps a lot. Time heals, but it's a deep wound. Keep your head up.

Someone said NOT to run Coco at the Soil levels. Normally I would agree. However, if NFTG recommended it...I would start in those ranges. Remo runs his Coco pH higher than the "normal" as well. That being said, I would hug the 6.3-6.4 range vs the upper end they suggested. In case of false readings, 6.8 is high and if your meter is wrong you could be near 7.0. I am interested in how the NFTG does in Coco and will be following. Good luck bro

My big issue @ the moment is my rH I'm coming up on the last 3 weeks of flower and fighting to hold 60%... everything open, all fans on all the time... front after front has been moving thru. Hopefully we'll get a high pressure system that'll stick around after the weekend. I'm too packed up to sit like this for long... come on 40%....
