Mephisto Genetics Squeaker run of sour crack

I guess I always figured larger pots larger plants :/ but I’m sort of new to autos minus a couple minimal runs in the past.

The reason I ask is I chose 2 gallon smart pots for my 3 Lowryders I’ll be harvesting in a couple weeks... look how TINY they stayed..

Not very pleased with how big they got :/ granted the genetics had allot to do with it so I’m basically just gathering opinions on what you guys think about this strain which is also small in most pheno’s.

I have several Sour Crack seeds that I can grow any way I choose... AFTER I get some quick nugs to tie me over. So I have 3 gallon and 2 gallon smart pots, I’m curious how much longer my finish time might possibly be with a difference of one gallon of medium :/ just throwing a line out there hoping someone can touch base w me about it

Soil is:
30% FFoF
30% Happy Frog
30% perlite
8% worm castings
2% mycorrhizae

Lights are QB96 Elite V2’s

Nutes:

Earth juice (2.5tsp/gal)
Tiger Bloom (2tsp/gal)

24/0 light schedule to finish quickest I think

This might help with some of the Meph strains, at least the majority of what I have, S M L. Small basketball... Medium 40lb bag of dog food... Large 55 gallon can... roughly..:pass:

so what do you guys think about using very restrictive potting with this strain to make it flower faster. i'd like to shoot for 60 day if i can, cant decide wetween 2 or 3 gallon smart pots for them tho... i have both.. and i know she stays small, but i want her to finish quick more than i want her to yield heavy... opinions?

lighting is 2x QB96 Elite V2 Quantum Boards with etra red and far red diodes :) AMAZING flowering light!

Earth Juice - Grow 2-1-1
Tiger Bloom - 2-8-4

24/0 light schedule (possibly changing that to 20/4, havent decided yet) i think 24/0 would be fine tho, how about you guys?

leaf tucking and LST for both plants (im starting with 2) and i'll do LST and leaf tucking AND top the 2nd plant to see if it is favorable or not
I have been thinking about adding some IR and far red pucks or cobs to out current smorgasbord of LED lighting. I got 3000, 3500, and 4000°k 1818s and a pair of 3500°k 1825s along with a 5700/6500°k homemade Samsung 561c strip board for youngins, all Mean Well powered by 6 assorted CV and CC drivers and also "The Streets" which are an LG Innotek 4 channel @ 40w per channel powering 10,000°k??? (No clue. ULTRA white) Bridgelux quantum board type modern street light. We scavenged these out of a freaking dumpster, the retail on these HAS to be $600 or more with professional installation required on top of that. I disassembled it and made it into a low profile single board with a dimmer!! I haven't used it to grow yet but I'm hoping if I chose to blend it in, it will squash plants in their tracks and make ultra tight nodes. We. Shall. See. I would LOVE to see some packed vertical nodes as tight as possible...because why not? I thoroughly enjoy blending light and think that multiple light blends are the answer for the absolute best results, depending in age of the plant. Do you think the deep red LEDs are worth the cost and trouble? Cause...I wanna try that out, along with a 2700°k 1825 @ 100w dead centered in the middle of a 4x4 for the full flower cycle. That should be a great addition for that HPS type orangey goodness. Any experience with other high quality LEDs for comparison? Thanks aye.

With my current rH issues and weather forcast... a little farther internodal would be ok... this indica is pretty tight. And I might have over packed the net a bit... seems I do that every time I use a net. Love the tent, but want to move back to a room, were I can put in everything I want hvac etc and not trip over it all in 16 sqft. & I know better than to run indica in the winter here. Seems I broke a lot of my own rules lately...

Have you looked at grow mau5s far red emitters? Cost isn't too bad... of course I'd need 4 to cover...

Not always true. And you specifically stated that you WANTED to restrict the roots to make smaller plants. I am very confused. You are disappointed in using 2 gal pots and how small the plants turned out. What exactly do you want? With that mix and being Sour Crack, 2 or 3 gal pots are plenty. That is plenty for that strain, because it finishes fast. I would not go less than 2 gal in Soil if you want a decent yield. If doing Coco, I would advise differently. Good luck.

BTW, if you want better results. You only have to do one thing...stop using Fox Farm.

@ClydeWalters what size of finished plant are you looking for/ expecting? So far both the plants referred to are on the smaller side. Have grown @ least a dozen of Mephisto strains, can give you an honest size of the ones I've ran.

ABSOLUTELY!! i would love ALL the info and comparison pics i can get! im growing the following

Sour Crack
Sour Stomper
Sams Crack
Ripleys OG
24 Carat

also im shooting for my Sour Cracks to finish as FAST as possible. the reason that strain interested me was the 55-65 day harvest :) i know it will most likely be 70 days but im hoping :) i was considering using only 2 gallon pots if they would finish faster. if not i'll use 3 gallon for sure

looking for the Sour Cracks to stay small, not rediculously smal but i dont want my tent overcrowded... i shouldnt even BE growing Ripleys OG but i just couldnt fucking help it.. i'll LST and top the living shit out of it if i have to!! lol i do have a few more Ripleys OG seeds so when i finish this 6 plant run im doing i'll dedicate a tent JUST to a Ripleys OG in a 10Gallon smart pot ;)

please, feel free to share all that juicy info with me!!

i've got TEN sams crack seeds too.... REAAALLLY want to know about them like BAD! i dont know what to expect buuuuut i have a feeling they get fucking HUUUUUUGE

Ok, while I look thru the strains, what kind of smoker are you? A sativa lover? Or a worshiper @ the church of the cement shoes?

An up heady high can be gotten by a cut at the beginning of ripe...

Sour Crack - small girls
Sour Stomper - these should be on the medium size, think 20 gallon trash can size
Sams Crack - this one is a toss up, it's an f1 cross of sour crack (small) and samsquatch (large) being a first cross will it be more like one? Or the other? Or somewhere in between? I save these kinds to run when I'm not working on getting empty jars full, canopy height management might be a chore.
Ripleys OG. Can be large, mephisto says their tallest strain be a good candidate for heavy LST I think.
24 Carat. Shorty shorty.... but from what I've read... a goo factory... I'd run 12 of those in a go... if I could keep the rh down... size and density makes me think not mold resistant.

You probably said this, but I'm typing with one thumb and trying to hit my pie with the other, what size tent?
