Introduced myself a few days ago and started some seeds. They are popping and have little tails. I very excited about my new adventure and getting back to something I haven't enjoyed in 24 years.

I have 2 Northern Lights, Short Rider, and Super Skunk going into rock wool. Can hardly wait for them to poke through. I have set up an ebb and flo table that's 10 sq ft. lighting is 2 t5 2ft by 4 bulb panels and 2 4 bulb cfls for extra boost. I will be using Hydroton as medium. Working on the ventilation system today, so the air won't get stale or too hot in the tent that I made with Panda Film. I'm going to try LST on my girls. Seems like the better option with the light setup that I have,

Still doing homework on growing, I don't think that will ever be complete. Going to retire soon, from a job that let me help a lot of people but kept me away from enjoying a toke. I am very thankful for all the good people here at AFN.

Cheers to a new chapter in your life! Growing is addictive! Actually the only addiction associated with marijuana is growing it!

To true! for me growing as just as good as the smoke at the end!

best of luck with everything Beggy, and i hope you have a great grow.

may the bud be with you

trustfullytasty

Hey Beggy, up to this point I have been using T5s exclusively, and LST works great with them. You may also want to look into doing a scROG in the future as well.
I just built a new grow room and used Panda Film for the first time. Nice poly to work with and looks like it will be an excellent light reflector.

Looking forward to watching your first grow, as mine was only a few months ago. Hope you are going to start posting some pics.

I'm now subscribed to your grow journal, so keep on posting my friend!

:peace:

I'm like a first time father in the hospital waiting room. Checking on the seeds every time I walk by. I've been second guessing myself like crazy so I went out and did some shopping. When I got back 2 had popped out of the cubes. Who knew sprouts were shy and didn't like being watched?:stoneslap: Making another list for the store and going to dinner with family after that. Giving the girls a night alone to do their thing.

The hardest thing about growing: #1 is patience! #2 is not telling anyone! Growing really dank weed is like being superman! You wanna tell someone but you can't! Haha. Sucks!

I follow the seasons(no choice at the mo!)...So winter sucks in my world! Growing is the finest therapy out there! Looking forward to seeing your work mate :smokebuds: :peace:

I waited till this morning to check on how things are going. I have four growing up out of the cubes, two to go. The two not out yet are both Super Skunk so I'm thinking this strain is a little slower at germination or seeds are older. If they don't show, four for the first grow will be fine. I will try to get some pics of my grow area posted. Guerilla, I will work on the patience thing but its not going to be easy. I haven't been this excited about a project in years.

update and my room

Well the two super skunks have never popped and I have almost given up on them. I have uploaded some pics of my setup and of the four girls I have left. its been a week since the started pushing up out of the cubes. noticed a little burn on the tips of one so I backed the lights off a couple of inches. I'm using two totes for my reservoir as I forgot to figure on leaving some water in the bottom of first one for the pump to stay in water. They are connected by 3/4 inch hose and I have the overflow tubes going into one and pumping out of the other. I figured that would help with the circulation and keeping readings more even between the two tanks. My table is made from two mixing tubs from Home Depot. two 2ft by 4 bulb T5 panels as a light source with cfl lighting available when and if needed for a boost. Vented at the top and some openings between tubs at the bottom for circulation. Noticed a little downward curl of leaves on one when I was taking pics, Is this normal?
