Patience bro, LOL

Best of luck :)

Peace!

Great setup you have there Beggy! It is going to be a fun run. One thing to remember, if you start having problems or have questions, post them up quickly. We can help a lot easier if you catch the problem early than waiting till it is almost too late. Don't be afraid to ask questions, this is your thread!

Some good growing karma sent your way! "Grow & Show.."

delayed update

I've been having a hard time connecting to the Forum for almost a week days of no connection at all then intermittent and bumped off after a few scrolls. That being said here is my latest update. I put my girls into containers of Hydroton and started using my flood table. They seemed kind of stunted for being two weeks out from popping and I think it was from me over watering. I will be more careful next time. Had some tip burn going on but it doesn't seem to be affecting the new growth. Been using the table for 4 full days now and they seem to be responding. I'm running 1/4 strength General Hydroponics Maxi, four floods a day, lights at 20/4. Temps are running from 69F lights out up to 81F after lights on. Humidity ranging from 37-63%. Glad to be reconnected to the Forum. Winging it alone on my first grow was scary. DSC00538.JPGDSC00539.JPGDSC00540.JPGDSC00541.JPGDSC00542.JPGDSC00543.JPG

Nice rig, man! Lots of good work put into that!

I feel ya, Bro! i'm fairly newly free myself and I know how you feel! I've been itching to grow again for years!! I was going nuts reading all the good stuff here and not being able to drop any beans. For those in "legal" areas, after shelling out on all the hardware, it'd be cheaper to buy the meds. But then all the fun is in DIY'ing it! Plus it's a nice "prepping' skill to have!

Hey!
Looking good!! Sweet setup you have there. Hydro too, braver than me my friend!! With the way I tend to over analyze, triple think, and double guess myself, I didn't dare. Thought about it a lot though and clearly see it in my future. I tend to go overboard on everything so soil is a bit cheaper for me too.
TX has the right of it, the DIY aspect is what it's about, well that and the ability to produce some truly fine herb!! I love this stuff way more than I ever thought I would!!
Subbed up and watching!
Here's a bit of :karma Cloud: for you!
Peace and Happy Growing!!

4 week Pics

DSC00558.JPGDSC00559.JPGDSC00560.JPGDSC00561.JPG took some pics last nite as it was the 4 week anniversary of the seeds popping. Had a bit of a PPM problem and gave them a little burn. seems to be under control now. First two pics are Northern Lights, 3 & 4 are Short Riders. That last Short Rider is my runt, she got burned the worst. I'll be keeping a close eye on her to see how she recovers. The Northern Lights seem to more hardy and are responding quite well since adjustments. I want to LST these plants as my setup is T5 lighting, with CFLs for some extra boost. Trying to be patient but I'm a restless Noob.

Sorry depression has overtaken me

Not sure how many here suffer from depression but if you do then you know what I'm dealing with. Winter makes it worse. Every task is a burden. Going to work everyday and going through the routine just drains me. I get home and self medicate with a drink, then another and another until it puts me under. That's my main reason for trying to grow my own bud. Really believe it will be a much better medicine than the bottle and better for me physically. I struggle to take care of the girls and I am not doing very good. Being a noob doesn't help. I figure its about 5 weeks till harvest and then a couple for the curing. The to Northern Lights are doing the best for me and Short Riders are feeling the pain with me. As I've stated before, retirement will be happening right after harvest. You'd think that would help me out of my funk but I just can't seem to shake the dread of the day. I have some pics of the girls don't mind the runt I have miss handled her from the start, burn, lockout dropped something on her but promised her she'd be my first smoke in 27 years if she produced.

Should I trim? update week 9

Well my girls have really taken off in the last two weeks and my bout with the depression seems to be lifting some what. Its been 9 weeks since my seeds cracked and quite the journey for this Noob. First two are my Northern Lights and third is Short Rider. Still have the runt but no pics this post. I have been doing LST and it seems to be the way to go with T5 lights. All kinds of new shoots coming from the lower parts of plants. I can't believe how fast they grow. Getting some nice buds and a lot more potential ones on the new growth. My question for today is, should I trim back the new growth to help the established buds? If yes, how much? Maybe that would be to much stress at this stage and trimming would cause more damage than good. I need some opinions.
