Hopefully I'm starting to grow up as always been open minded but find some strain names going against the vibe

Green Crack, Cash Cropper and LSD to name a few, do wonder why they are called these?

I'd never buy beans called anything like that and wondered how other people feel? about name choice

Just a name is it not? with maybe a hint of marketing thrown in.... I can maybe understand two of the three you listed.

Cash cropper - implies its a big yielder, ideal if your motive is to make money.

Lsd - A representation of the type of high associated with the smoke?

Green crack... dunno about this one, crack is not good... in less its the female variety :hump:

Weed is weed to me, not really interested in the name but how many times have you heard people here in the uk say yeah mate this is "Real cheese" Same as smoke reports people going on about fruity undertones and hints of this and that. It all tastes the same, all smells the same and at the end of the day is all the same... its just weed :)

"marketing thrown in" hit the nail there mate!

Think I'll produce a brand called 'Brown Heroin'

It maybe is 'just weed' but don't think it will help our cause!

Well Green Crack is one of the wickedest Plants. Think as a Grower with its 5,5 weeker Pheno it is just Addictive like Crack :D Barneys Lsd came relaly from its trippy High. But indeed there are some weird Names for Strains out there. I never look at Strains names when i decide what to Grow....always looking for proper genetical Background.

It's mostly about marketing.I agree that some names are a little over the top but I don't really care that much and it is what it is, just a name.

When I smoked joints the taste was always similar apart from the odd quality strain like real cheese lol but since I've started vaping and growing my own weed the difference in smells from some strains to others are really obvious, I have some blueberry and some stone dragon both of which are sweet smelling but totally different....can someone invent the sniff-screen lol.

Do understand that it's just a name, suppose the authorities wouldn't care what it's called

I have never tried vaping TaNg... Does it use a lot compared to say a good joint?

Think my view there stems from being a joint only person and the tobacco masking a lot of the taste and smells. Never really had enough bud to go pure... well not for a good few years now anyway and when people say cheese to me it seems an excuse to cut an 8th in half or less and still charge 20 quid lol

I will try my hardest to keep some of what I have growing now cured in till my next plant is done, maybe once I have 2/3 different strains well cured my opinions may (will) change on the taste and flavor side of things. As I wont have to be so tight with it and can try other methods of smoking without tobacco.

Yeah, name 's just a name genetics are the deciding factor.
I can taste difference even through my dirty pipe. Smoking pure bud, though, hence never joints
