New Grower Strain Names

I have never tried vaping TaNg... Does it use a lot compared to say a good joint?

Think my view there stems from being a joint only person and the tobacco masking a lot of the taste and smells. Never really had enough bud to go pure... well not for a good few years now anyway and when people say cheese to me it seems an excuse to cut an 8th in half or less and still charge 20 quid lol

I will try my hardest to keep some of what I have growing now cured in till my next plant is done, maybe once I have 2/3 different strains well cured my opinions may (will) change on the taste and flavor side of things. As I wont have to be so tight with it and can try other methods of smoking without tobacco.

I cant recommend vaping enough bro, better high, tastier, less weed used and above all healthy....get off the tabbaco bro it's suicide.

We have to understand that there is a large segment of the market that is...how shall I say this? Youthfully Sophomoric. I don't think the names are even meant for the grower, they are meant to sound appealing to a particular demographic (either assumed or actual or both) when their dealer whips out a sack and tells them what it is....it's branding. Trying to have a unique and memorable name that will create buzz (pun intended)

Just a name is it not? with maybe a hint of marketing thrown in.... I can maybe understand two of the three you listed.

Cash cropper - implies its a big yielder, ideal if your motive is to make money.

Lsd - A representation of the type of high associated with the smoke?

Green crack... dunno about this one, crack is not good... in less its the female variety :hump:

Weed is weed to me, not really interested in the name but how many times have you heard people here in the uk say yeah mate this is "Real cheese" Same as smoke reports people going on about fruity undertones and hints of this and that. It all tastes the same, all smells the same and at the end of the day is all the same... its just weed :)

Hey man, i really feel sorry for you if you never had the change to try some really tasty weed and really smelly as well.

Right now i am vaping away on a purple panama from ACE seeds and this is really really fruity in the taste, almost inpossible to put the vape down due to the incredble taste.

Put that tobacco away and go to vapor chamber here on AFN and read up on vapes and go get one asap.

edit: And at the end of the day its very much NOT all the same, far far far from it.

I saw one the other day called 'alaskan thunder fuck' Absolutely no idea what to make of that one, id love to try it though hahaha!

That's a very famous strain...I remember hearing that in High School....in the 80's.

Hopefully I'm starting to grow up as always been open minded but find some strain names going against the vibe

Green Crack, Cash Cropper and LSD to name a few, do wonder why they are called these?

I'd never buy beans called anything like that and wondered how other people feel? about name choice

You can call it what you want to as if I've never heard that saying before. I got one just thought up today..
The Villainist of Villains cause she will still your heart.. (Purple Nepal Female x Durban Poison male) cheers peeps.

I'm not sure if you're joking or not. If not, you may not be able to smell or taste it, but there are huge differences in different strains. Both the flavor and aroma can be fruity, woody, skunky, or many other subtle characteristics. I could easily open the different jars in my stash blindfolded and tell you what each one is by smell alone. Are you growing your own? If you are and everything is coming out tasting and smelling the same, that might indicate a problem with drying/curing. I find those steps to be critical in capturing the best of what each strain has to offer.

I agree with Andy,There are differences in strains, some are smooth, some are harsher and make you cough a lung up .some have diff aftertaste bitter, sweet, earthy and lots more. And Trapper quit using those big collage words, some of us didn't get much learnin.:roflcry::roflcry:

Sorry man :) They sometimes just fit the bill and mean less typing....

I agree, that some strain names are indeed offensive. BUT, you have to realize in the seed market, there are thousands to choose from. Say for instance, you had a strain called blueberry, yeah, most of us know what it is, but Blueberry Crumble is something we can all associate with, because it sounds better or cool. The seed market want us all know that, "their seeds" are the biggest, heaviest yield, best tasting, and easy to grow.

It's like saying "Large compact buds" it is an oxymoron, but all you hear and see in your head, is the large buds and think all the large buds are going to weigh a ton, due to being compact. It is mostly a marketing scheme to get you to buy their brand of seeds. I for one dont care much for the names, best way to know what you want for medical or recreational, is to research, and then research again. Whats in a name?
