hi I'm looking for opinions on what I should do in my current grow. I have several autos(14 or so fems) and a few males I've collected pollen from. I have 5 mephisto strains going, alf number 5 from mandolorian, And sour sheriff from wicked pissah.

Originally I planned on reversing each mephisto strain which I grew two of each with the intent of reversing one or part of one and pollinating the other.

Now I'm debating whether I should use my regular male pollen from my alf#5 and/or sour sheriff. The only downside I see to this is I've heard intersex traits are likely in regular and fem offspring.

I also could clone lower branches and do it that way.. The plants are about 30 days old and almost all have show preflowers so I need to decide quick. The other option i have is starting one more strain of each mephisto and pollinating them. So many different options.

My ultimate goal is to have plenty of stock for further projectsI'm looking for opinions. On one hand I'd like to have the pure reversed offspring of the mephisto strains so I have lots of seeds to play with but on the other hand I wouldn't mind the crosses either. In a perfect world I'd like both. I've been researching techniques for all of these different ways just can't decide. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

I also can supply pictures if that would aid things. I'd also prefer to not seed the entire tent because of the amount of cultivars.

Working with more than one pollen donor in a tent will be a mess and you will have no idea what crossed to what.

Maybe I wasn't super clear. Nothing will be open pollinated. Everything will be removed selectively pollinated and returned after pollen set after being rinsed off. I heard its recommended to let it set for 24 to 48 hours? If it was you Arthur what would you do? I respect you as a grower and would love your opinion. I have a separate area for males/reversed females. The original goal was to get mephisto seed stock not because I'm to cheap to buy it but because its so hard to get.

Separate question for you I just flipped my photo tent and plan on using the sampler nftg kit for the flower duration. Its only on its third day I was planning on foliar spraying some bloom chaos and going with like half the amounts recommended on their feed chart. Also any general guidelines using it for autos? Like a 3rd to start?

I'm getting ready to do the same this year. Doing photos at moment to get the hang of a cloneking I bought. Doing fairly well after the 1st screw up. Here's 7 days in.

When I start back on autos wanting to clone tops to reverse (yes, completely removed from the house where rest are growing) and at least collect pollen to use on next round. Maybe a selfing if I can catch it right.

Let's start with the NTFG question... running Bloom Khaos really needs to have the nutes at at least 100% of recommended. Introduction of BK will cause the plant to uptake calcium at a much higher rate. I'd be at 100% regular feeds and 200% HH for a feed or 2 before using the BK. Its like opening the throttle on a dragster, not enough fuel in the tank and bad things happen fast...
When using BK I'm normally 150% and over for all other items, medusa's magic, DD, Ghia etc.

As to the pollenation, if you have males or reversed females in the tent, chances are you'll have pollen moving about. I'm a one at a time kinda guy, reverse Gold Glue, hit Gold glue, sour stomper etc next time I'll reverse something else. If you've ever had a flower run get seeded and never find the Sac that did it then you know what a tiny, itsy bitsy amount of pollen can do. And I wouldn't run BK if I was on a seed run. Those I run different amounts of nutes in flower, and I don't push at all. Have heard high P&K can make for hard seed hulls that don't want to shed.

Thanks for the info. Yeah the nftg is 3 photos in a different tent. but ill take that advice and acclimate them to regular doses of the normal bottles first.

The way bill.de.catt is doing it with clones was something I considered too. I think I'll just reverse one thing and hit some lowers with pollen or clones. I'm not really concerned with producing anything out of the auto tent. Also to be clear there's no males or reversed fems going to be in their. I've had runs herm so I know the pain. I also understand the nutrient needs are different. I believe its boron that is really important for seed development. I've done lots of research and looked at others techniques. I'm just indecisive by nature.

Didn't you reverse gold glue Arthur? I think I recall reading a post with you talking about it for a family member. I guess it will come down to doing some experimenting and see what works best. Nothing beats hands on experience.

I did reverse GG. Out of 4 crosses, the cross to Sour Stomper is a winner. Big hand grenade nugs rock hard, and a good producer in the press. Golden Stomper. Originally grown for my father, have other family members and friends that continue to ask about her. Still have about 30 beans. Have now crossed the GGxSS to a male from autoflower portal. This will be cubed back to the GGxSS till I'm close to 100% GGxSS with males and females.
Will be running back cross #2 starting in a couple weeks. Currently on the road, Arthur Jr getting married on Saturday.

Congrats to your son. Yeah I'm running the gold glue i got interested in it after reading that it helped your father sleep right? I know its indica dominant and remember being the most interested in that out of the first reserva strain drop. Thanks for the advice I've settled on a plan.

Not sure this is exactly the right place to ask this but it's semi relevant at least. Maybe someone in the thread might know. Is there a benefit/do you need as strong of lighting to make seeds as you would for regular flowering, would looser lower quality buds effect the seed quality? Interested to know because I would like to run less light if I can get away with it and not effect the amount and quality/viability of the seeds.

It would be on a reversed female open pollination in a tent. If that matters. Thanks for any help or insight.
