Hey all,just a quick question for anyone whos ever made this mix.When your letting it sit to cook down in the trash cans-do you leave it covered or uncovered? Was just wondering as i made a batch today to experiment with and set it outside to cook for 30-60 days. I was thinkin if you left it uncovered outdoors you could end up with some unwanted occupants that crawl into it.
 
Uncovered! It needs to breathe, don't forget to turn it once or twice a week. I keep mine inside while it cooks, it will help keep the bugs out. I also crumble half a mosquito dunk into the mix to got a head start on any beasties in there.
 
I personally wouldn't turn it once or twice a week it needs to cook properly and to do that it needs to sit and cook off uninterrupted for at least a month after cooking off for a month then I turn it, you slow the decomposition process down when you keep turning it.

That's what I do I cover mine with a bin lid and let it cook for at least a month before I even think about turning it.
 
think he likes 6 weeks or over

what's the results like?
 
6 - 8 weeks is better the longer it sits the more stable it becomes.

The results are awesome just add water till harvest and you will get some phenomenally dank buds but never put seedlings in it it's too hot for the little guy's :D

is the yield better than liquid nutes or is it subjective
 
I put the garbage can full of supersoil out in my shed with the cover on last night.checked it this morning and had alot of condensation on the inside lid. I mixed the 1/8 batch recipe and added 1 gallon ph 6.5 water to it and mixed it before storing. I did add 3/8lb of greensand in with everything else in the recipe-hope that don't hurt anything. So the general consensus is just leave it sit covered for 4-6 weeks and don't stir it up? Do you add water to it now and then to keep from drying out?Thanks guys
