Mephisto Genetics Super Soil vs AN in Coco. Sour Crinkle, BlueToof, and Gold Glue

I hand-water coco from a 2-gallon bucket of nutes I keep bubbling 24/7. When I dump out the dregs of a batch of nutes that had Recharge in it I can definitely see a residue on the inside of the bucket and quite a bit clinging to the airline & airstone that sits on the bottom, so there is some "sludge" or residue from it, in my experience. I've never used autopots so I can't say for sure how it'd work in that type of system but it's definitely not gonna leave your res clean...
Hey I read on Recharge website to only bubble recharge for a few hours, not 24/7. Just sharing info I read. Will try a recharge bubble later in flower. Peace

Hey Roasty,
Have you used Super Soil Before? I don't do soil of any kind. I'm a freak about bugs and cleanliness. Soil is dirty and has bugs. No Thanks! Its worth a shot to see it I get decent results. Labor alone it is worth trying. I press Rosin daily, so quality is my main objective.
No I haven't used it yet, just got it a week ago. Hoping you get great results in str8 coco. Problem with organics is trying to give them what they need, when they need it. Much easier with salts. You doing a 3 tiered medium?

I'm doing Straight Coco. Bottom layer is 1 gal of Coco and 2TBSP of Super Soil. Next layer was 1 TBSP of SS in 3/4 Gal of Coco, then top layer is Straight Coco with some Mycos. I only use 2 gal pots. I think the Recharge will help with the 2 gal pot size. I don't do bigger pots. Hope this works.

Awesome, that's exactly how I was going to do it. As per GBD.
I hear you on the bugs in soil, I amended in some food grade DE and have been bug free so far. We'll see how long that lasts.

Well dang, so it does! I'll have to try a side-by-side next grow because to my relatively untrained eye it's seemed to work a treat so far. Thanks for the heads up.

I have so many different setups in different locations, I don't need to ruin anything by introducing bugs to any one of them.

Yeah bro, totally agree. Much more at stake than my lil 4 plant grow. Just keep working your magic, mad skills over there.

Sorry but I’m a bit confused about your use of SS here. Are you using the super soil that is all over the internet or some type of product called super soil? I ask because SS (that I’m familiar with) is soil to be used as a stand alone soil that requires no nutrients only water for the entire grow. I’m not saying you can’t benefit from using it in coco but three tbsp does not seem like it will do what you are looking to do.

Just cut down a batch using the SS. My mix was even between FFOF, WC's, Perlite and coco in 3 gallon fabric pots. Added microbrew once during preflower and molasses once in flower. They were Sour Crack by Mephisto. 10 plants with average of 1.5 OZ per. I'm thinking the SS will win.
