I need to get some more totes but I think next time I mix up soil I am going to try to do it with as 1 bag mixes. I use a whole bag of soil per plant as of now and figure I should try to get my mix figured out using single bags. Every time I start a mix I will label it for what strain I mixed it for and have a bloom and a veg tote for that plant cooking with the recipe on each tote. One thing I did not like about the sub cool super soil recipe was he recommended 8 bags of soil. For the closet grower that's usually a lot of soil and if you live some were like an apartment with limited space that can be an issue. Ya you can cut the recipe down but... This will also add some consistency to what I am trying to do as every plant will be planted in soil that was cooked the same amount of time, about 14-15 days for veg and about 25 for bloom.
The above recipe will be cut in half next batch as it will be made up of 1 bag cut in half. The recipe will be 12 ounces of steer manure and 1 table spoon of lime to a half bag of roots for veg.
2 table spoons of bat guano, 2 table spoons bone meal, 2 table spoons of kelp meal and 2 table spoons of lime to a half bag of roots for bloom.
I am omitting the Azomite and the Epsom salt to see if the kelp and lime will provide enough mag and minerals. I don't know if the manure will provide enough nitrogen or not as this will be cutting my manure in half from my current grow. The bat guano is for the phosphorus, the bone meal for phosphorus and calcium, the kelp meal for potassium and minerals and the lime for calcium, magnesium and PH control.
