New Grower Sweet Caroline - Sweet Tooth Auto BF Indoor Grow

Feb 17 - Day 23, Sweet Caroline kept me pretty busy today, moved my grow cabinet, connected 3"flexible ducting to an existing vent that was roughed in, installed two more 2' T5 HOs on their own dedicated switch, bringing my to a total of 6, mounted them on the top of the back wall of the cab for a total of 144W, all 6400K spectrum for now, probably will just use 5 until she stretches a bit

Overall her growth is still going strong, the burn from my watering is still present on the leaves but its not getting worse, will probably feed next watering either tonight or tomorrow morning with my trusty turkey baster!!

I'm all set up for that stretch phase now, just hope she doesn't stretch too much since I only have 16" from the top of my soil to the lights. So far she has been growing very bushy but I have some string and wire ready to LST if need be and I'm going to research topping and FIMing to see if that will help

I'm not looking for a huge yield this round, just want to keep it simple, learn and nail down my cabinet environment for future grows, possibly a micro SCROG next with 2 1G pots with 1 RQ AK47 auto and the other BF sweet tooth again

:peace:

Sweet Caroline is packing some heat under her skirt, pistils!!!!

Feb 18 - Day 24, Noticed pistils today for the first time, its officially a she! LST seems to be working out alright, tugged on her a bit more today, watered this morning with 1.25mL A and B in 1L with DNF grow nutes and tucked some fan leaves to expose some flower sites

If anyone sees an issue with the yellow/burnt leaves let me know, I sprayed them directly with nutes a few days ago (not on purpose) when I was trying to water a different way. I assume its from that and not over/under feeding?

New cabinet setup with PC fan installed red green styles, any canucks out there now wut I'm sayn lol

Took a shot of the hidden cab in my mechanical/roughed in bathroom in the basement. The unused/plugged vent aligned with my exhaust that used to run a homemade carbon filter with which wasn't doing it for me. Temps steady at 78 with only the PC fan running, need a new power bar to hook up my 6" fan than hopefully with my 6 lights running I can keep temps in check.

Posted a closer shot of the burn I mentioned earlier, I didn't include a decent shot in my last update, comments/thoughts on the burn would be appreciated or anything else! LST work from yesterday showing an affect, more noticeable with the plant in front of me than what I captured in the pics

Looking good so far Gilly! Topping autos is not really recommended as they're on a fixed schedule and don't have much time in veg to recover. In my opinion it would be better to stick with LST. I also think a SCROG would work well in your space. As long as you can control the height of the plants 36" is plenty to work with using T5s. I think you might even be able to wedge 4 pots in there. I grow in a 24"x24" space, so about the same as you, and I grow 4 plants in 6.5l pots in a SCROG.

Awesome, thanks budster! Your advice is appreciated and right on point with some threads I read. I'll just continuing tucking and LSTing.

I definitely will try and add more pots either soon or let this girl finish up, just trying to nail down my cab environment and learn as much as I can. Your grows like great man I'll be sure to follow

Feb 20 - Day 26

Increased my nutes to 2.5mL of DNF A and B in 1L, I didn't see any run off so I added another 500mL with an additional .75mL of A and B grow and she was drippin, hopefully she can handle the nutes, this will be a good test to see how she reacts, I think I'll flush with water when she dries out in a couple days

Didn't do any more LST, just tucked a few leaves here and there and snipped some leaves that were in the medium and not getting any light. Drilled more air intake holes to try and get my temp down, no matter what I do the temp hangs around 80-82 F

I added some pics I took with my DSLR (darker photos) as well as some from my phone. Thanks wwwille for helpin me out, I still have alot more experimenting to do haha

Feb 21 - Day 27

Switched lights to 20/4, temp dropped to 62 F 48% RH with the lights off and there seems to be no negative affects from my increased feed last night

Welcome Gilly, I just received some Sweet Caroline babies and she popped a tap root day before yesterday. I have not started a log yet, but I am very interested in watching you. Looks like a great start and it will give me something to compare to. Great Grow Karma to you. :peace:
