Hi people of AFN, after falling at the first hurdle of attempting DWC, Iv reverted back to coco. I plan on running one continual journal for all my grows and considering il be using a GrowNorthern MS0006 for all of them, i thought I'd post it in here. I'm currently growing Dutch Passion auto white widow in a 15L airpot, 80% coco 20% perlite, with an inch or so of clay pebbles at the bottom. I could fit 2 plants in my tent at a push but I'm just gonna grow 1 so she gets my undivided attention. She popped her head above the soil early December 1st so this is currently day 2.
P.H - 7.4 (not gonna adjust the ph for the 1st week or so)
E.C - 0.4

Hay bro welcome to the GN section and good luck with the grow...any questions or problems don't hesitate to ask.

Hey Tarzan ^_^

Nice start! You're gonna love the GN & Coco combo!!
Good luck with the grow mate - hope you pull a monster in that 15l pot! ^_^

Nice one for looking in Blue :smokebuds: just a quick pic update, nothing exciting really
Day 4.
E.C - 0.4
P.H - 7.4

Iv got a quick question. Unlike soil, coco has no nutritional value for the plant as I understand, it merely acts an anchor. So I was thinking on day 7 I should add a bit of root complex to the water (not much, just 0.5ml/L). Also, what would be a safe E.C increase so that I wouldn't harm the plant?

Thanks in advance!:d5:

I've never grow in coco but I'm pretty sure you can lightly feed from day 1 although your girls look fantastic as they are.

Hey TT... A feed of root stim and veg nutes at 0.7 EC pH 5.8 should be fine at 7 days.."AFN smoke out"

Hi Tarzan :)
no worries buddy - we're on the same path with the coco an GN :)

7.4ph is a good deal too high - i wouldn't worry about 1 watering too much (i did something silly this week and forgot to ph my water after my feed (minds all over the place lol) and nothing bad happened it was about 7.8 >.<)

Duggys given some nice info!

Personally, my new PH regime for coco is anywhere between 5.9 and 6.3. I don't have an ec meter ( i really should ) so i'm just cautious when i start feeding them. I just use rhizotonic (root stim) for the first week or so :)

Looking nice - they should start taking off in a few weeks when that tap root has sunk itself down :)
:d5:

Il give her some root stim in her next watering and see how she goes. Blue, my ph is that high because Iv just give her plain water for the first week, no ph down or anything, il ph it when I next feed her though. I ordered my rebel upgrades last week for my light and they were despatched Thursday! Hope they arrive today!

Day 7
Iv noticed she's growing noticeably everyday which is good and she's a week old now! I gave her a light feed of Hesi root complex earlier (1ml/L) so il see if she's alright with it
P.H - 6.1
E.C - 0.4
