Hello ladies and gentlemen,
welcome to my firstmedical mj grow presentation!

The Equipment:

  • diy grow box 110cm x 60cm x 80cm (HxDxL)
  • HS1 GN led light
  • Inline fan winflex
  • Carbon filter
  • Circulation fan
  • Weather Station with sensor
  • SmarPot (19 ltr) x 2 with Guanokalong soil (I couldn’t find by any chance AirPots ...)
  • PH meter x 2
  • RO
  • Humidifier (coming soon!)
  • Dehumidifier (coming soon!)
  • Heating
I rly need some advices about heating since I am still looking for a suitable solution. As you can see at Conditions the box rly need some heating.

The Performers:

  • Think Different DP x1
  • SnowStorm#2 DP x1
    Germinated on 23/12 , sprout on 27/12.

The HS arrived on 31/12 so until this date the girls were under an HPS 250w.

The Nutrients:

  • AN Sensi Grow
  • AN Sense Bloom
  • AN B-52
  • AN Flawless Finish (dont know yet if I will use it since as i see most of you flush with just water)
  • BB Top max (in case of cal/mag sup)

I will follow TaNg's Feeding Schedule.

The Conditions:

  • Light cycle: 18/6 for first week , then it will be 20/4 , (but I think I ll finally end up with 24/0 because of cold issues)
  • Room T and Hum (where the box is in) : MIN: 13 C / 43% and MAX: 17,9 C / 64%

  • BOX T and Hum : MIN: 14,5 C / 55% and MAX: 20,2 C / 80%
  • PH 7,0

To keep as much heat as possible inside the box, I have adjust ventilation as : Lights off -NO ventilation , Lights on - every 20 min ventilation. But I still need more heating since the humidity must go down on flowering stage so venting will go up!

I can consider myself as an expert grower but not for mj plants and only for outdoor growing. For indoor and for mj I m rly a newbie, so any advice or any correctionon the way I grow these babies is more than welcome.

ps. My english aint that good so I msorry for any mistakes I did.

They look ok but i think that they are very small for day 6. I believe its because of the low T .

Looking good Oneiro :) Seems like you got your setup thought through.. I agree on the heating and this might be the reason the seedlings are a bit on the tiny side, mind you a lot of the new growth goes on underneath in the first few weeks so they might take off but they would surely appreciate higher temperatures.

I'm looking into getting a tubular heater for my grow tent, I can let you know about the results - seems to be what the majority of indoor small growers are using to heat up the box/tent in the winter months. You can set it on a thermostatic switch (bought separately) that would only start when the temp goes as low as 18c for example.

I used smart pots on my last grow and only have good things to say about them - try to sit them on something (like plastic bottle caps or pieces of wood) so thet the pots do not sit in the watering runoff in the future - mine have grown millions of tiny roots that filled the whole pot, it was amazing. Many folks here swear by AirPots and the results you get from them, but Smart Pots also have their followers :) At the end of the day either one of those is going to be better than a regular pot since they all achieve the air-pruning effect.

With those nutrients, light and strains you should have a blast - TD in particular is known for being very beginner-friendly (not that I'm saying you are one but it always helps) as it can take large doses of nutrients and is a very tolerant and hardy fast-growing plant. You just need to take care of the proper environment for the plants to grow in now (see heating) and they should take off!

Sorry I couldn't comment more, I'm very tired now so hope it all makes sense still! All the best of luck and I'll be looking forward to seeing your results :pighug:

Thanks a lot for stoping by and for all the advices londonpeach! I was wondering that i might wrote smth offended (because of my not that good english lang) or that my thread is in wrong place since nobody had stop for droping just a good vide, but seems all fine :) ! You can call me totally a beginner since for cannabis and indoor growing its my very very first grow!

I changed the venting cycle by 5 min every 1 hour and i saw a big difference, T stucked on 23C max! jesus these lights are cold as north pole ! Outside the box the room T was 18 C and without venting for 1 hour and still the T didnt increased from 23C! I m sure it gonna rock at summer time! Ofc this is a temprorary solution and soon i will fix the heating issue!
About heating i am looking also for these tubes since they seem very ''fire'' safe! A friend of mine who did a grow before he suggested me to use air heater, these small things who pulls hot air but it i think its a bit stressfull for the plants to instantly increase the air T that fast! Well , he is not that a trustfull source since i am still trying to convince him that ph is A-Z in growing.. anyway...
I m thinking to start feeding them with a very little amount of senci grow , like 1 ml in 1,5 ltr , just for extra ''protection of the cold'' but on the other side i dont wanna risk a nut burn since this soil has enough for the first days!
Maybe less venting but then a hum issue will pop up for sure!

For smartpots i thought the same , it cant be that a big difference and tbh they r closer on what happens rly in nature! Nice idea to sit them on smth i will do it asap!

Thanks for the comments mate they r very usefull and for the good luck!

Looks good and sounds like you are off to a good start. 2 things im curious about, if you are concerned with heat, why not try to stabilize the temp now by running longer light schedule? The only journals ive seen where they change light timing, it starts with more and changes to less around flower. Also have you considered running your 250w hid with your led? I have a small heater in my room right now but considering adding a mh/hps light so I can get rid of the heater or run it less.

keep up the great work and updates!:Sharing One:

Great set up bro and good look with the grow, not seen that soil used for Autos before so will be interesting,do you know if it's a light mix suitable for seedlings?

Hey man Great start ! , its -30 outside right now and i even had to go 24/0 for my babies and they loook like there on par with yours man, i got DP blue velvet going, and nirvana Aurora indica's on the way, i also have the same nutrients, cant wait to see what your's and mine will turn out to look likeDSC01920.jpg<- took this shot 30mins ago .... im about 5 days in with this lady. *temp: 23.2c and holding *RH: 20% ahahaha:Growing:

Thanks mate , i do my best for these babies! I already changed the light schedule to 20/4 but when the light off the T still drop at 16! I m thinking abouit 24/0 since a lot of ppl succesful grow that way but i dont like the idea of no resting for the plants!

There is no any way to bring back the hid! I hate this light! If you see my SS , she had her to leaves burned at the edge! It happened from this light! Well my fault aswell since my box is short for hps, but i had covered the seedling with plastic bowls to protect them from the light, the reason the TD has no any burn its because her bowl was deep blue color so way less light for her! Apart from that i dont trust ballasts... i feel like having a time bomb ready to start a fire!

Thanks for stopping by, master hehe !! No, i have no idea if its suitable for seedling but its not something i took in consideration since as i understood autos , dont accept transplant so i just looked for a suitable (and available in local stores) soil! Can the soil be the reason for slow growth?

Thanks man , good luck to you aswell! What light your r using for your plants? I m rly impressed that your plant look fine even with low hum! Tbh at last i m not sure if high hum that most ppl suggest for this period its actuall helpfull!! Seems that T , its what matters most and i think that T is what effect so bad my plants and they r small for their age, time will show :)

Sometimes soil mixes can be quite 'hot' meaning theres to much fertiliser in the soil for seedlings,if you notice the tips yellowing it could be a sign it's hot,try to look for a light mix soil next time bro. On my first grow I used Plagron Bat mix which is super hot BUT I still ended up with some nice plants and beautiful tasting weed.
