Can I run 24/7 start to finish for temperature control? 70-80F w/ lights on ... 50-60F w/ lights out ...

I'm using an LED w/ UV & IR ... :bong:

You should have a dark period of some kind, just like in nature. those lights out temps are a little low.

How about just 1 or 2 hours of darkness, or is 4 the minimum ? I generally run 18/6 but I'm trying to keep the box warm in a very chilly environment.
I don't have the option of a heat source other than the light. :smokebuds:

This helps me a little in winter. Have your dark time in your grow area, happen during the day. That way at night when it's the coldest your lights are on.
I also added some cfls inside to help with the warmth. Just my opinion.
Muck luck
one lov:bong:

Appreciate the input :smokebuds:

50 degrees is too cold for lights out, so you need a source of supplemental heat. I would suggest you run your lights 20/4 and use a small electric heater to keep the temps up during lights out. I run LEDs and have the same issue. I picked up a small heater at WalMart for $18 that works fine. I also use a variable speed controller on my exhaust fan. I run it slower in the winter so I'm not sucking all the heat out as fast.

Thanks Muddy ... :smokebuds:
