I have a male solomon island eclectus, he is 19 years old, we have had him since before he was a year oldCool, thanks for replying. People are going totally nuts for it, im gonna have to order more and make sure to make seeds when i ger to the last of them, i want it to always be around. Ill probly just buy a ton then try the new artisanals later.
Yeah, losing the mbap really sucks, im trying not to think about it, at least i salvaged a bunch, ill test it today or tmrw when its dry. It looks ok. I learn from mistakes more than anything, i focus and commit things to memory more when im upset.
The ph shot up to over 7 while i slept and the seedling wilted. I put it in some coco. God dammit. From now on im going to start them in coco til they grow some roots then transfer them. Im gonna spend the day hanginh out with the baby bird, i hope its alive when i get home. Ill start another and continue the journal if not. Real real annoying.
Heres a pic of the baby bird, hes a super snuggler he rolls on his back so i can scratch his belly. Hes a chestnut fronted macaw, they get about half size of the big ones. Hes abouy 6 weeks old, itll be a while til hes ready to come home with me.![]()

they are a lot of fun, and a lot, a whole lot, of work and money. its like having a 10 year old for the entire life of the bird as far as its needs , physical, emotional, and monetary. But if it something you love doing then it is all worth it, this pic is very recent, less than 6 months ago.
