Hi all,

i need some information on THC-A diamonds and how they should act.

I'm 100% sure these i have are fake, sorry no pic, i would just like some confirmation from people who know about this kind of stuff to give me some clarification so i can show my friend. My friend says they should act as they are but everywhere ive checked says prettey much otherwise, hes saying check the altnoid forums, i shall not!

When i heat them up, they melt but turn straight back in to a crystalliine substance, its really hard, not sitcky unless heated and it doesnt stay sticky long, striaght back to glass, i have done this on a knife and it leaves a hard residue behind which is hard to remove, heard that is a pine rosin thing..
I tried decarbing in the oven at 115 for 40 mins, it did not melt but turned slightly yellow, it did clump up some, heard that is a pine rosin thing again, i have also put crystals in gin, it did not dissolve, even water as control just incase, heard pine rosin dissolves too...These are clearly fake. Im now trying to tell my friend, he says we must ahve f'd it up, thats how it should be.. They have virtually 0 high aswell. Smoked a lil on the side of a j when they came. Super horrible and super harsh. These diamonds are fake, but he wont accept it because his altnoid friends have told him otherwise.

Can people please provide legitimate information on how THC-A diamonds should behave, how decarb should work, if i can or cannot, as he say's F it up, i dunno how i can but hey.. hes on the altnoid forums.. He wont listen to reason, he says it should act like that, all sources ive found id trust say otherwise but yet still he will not budge. He says it being done wrong, we f'd it etc. I say theyre basically just pine rosin or alike.

THC-A diamonds should definitely get you high with high potency. Whether it was actually made from cannabis, pine or other resins/terpenoids, if it has no effects and is "super horrible" to consume, it's surely not high purity, such as >80-90%, THC as it should be.

Decarbing shouldn't matter, won't significantly decrease or increase potency of a concentrate if smoked or vaped.

100% fake (or cut with something) if they are turning back into crystal form when they cool down. Honestly thats what meth does, thca diamonds will never do this. Not saying you have meth on your hands but thats not normal at all and dont let anyone tell you it is normal. Diamonds when heated up will turn into a clear or light yellow puddle the same way any clean dab product would. Worst case scenario it will turn into a dark amber puddle but thats usually when its made from old or shitty weed. But I'd be careful inhaling that or even letting your friend inhale that shit cause that sounds super sketch man. And I've dabbed ounces upon ounce of the stuff over the years and have never even heard of diamonds doing that so I couldn't even tell you what it "might" be.

What state are you in? Was it purchased from a dispensary, a friend or the black market? Cause if its from a dispensary or a black market company they should be named and shamed.

Any idea what these "diamonds" might be composed of or adulterated with? What can pass (among some people) as high purity THC? Could it be cheap crystallized CBD or CBN, some unknown Chinese synthetic, or what?

It would be hard to guess without seeing an actual picture of the product before and after heating it up. The re-crystalization is very strange if its being marketed as a cannabis product. Could be from a low thc content mixed along with whatever solvent was used to process the diamonds not fully being pulled or decarbed out, but definitely not from cbd as cbd diamonds burn the same as thc diamonds..
After doing some reading, apparently re-crystalization in diamonds is a sign that the diamonds were not properly processed and still contain h2o2 (hydrogen peroxide) which seems valid. Hopefully thats all it is and its not a completely different drug. Passing off meth for diamonds wouldnt be too hard to the unsuspecting customer especially if it was drenched in fake terps. Sounds stupid but not impossible to pull off if this was a grimey blackmarket or street dealer.

Hi,
Sorry i havent been back in touch untill now.
Much thanks for the replies.
The product in question has since been thrown in the bin.
The diamonds looked half legit untill heated, they turned a dark orange. From watching a few vids on youtube, sadly cant find the one atm to link it, it looks closer to a violin polish than pine rosin once re crystalised, they retained a little stick though so must be something else in there with it. No smell of thc though..
Were based in the united kingdom btw so sourcing these things can be a pain.
As for where they were sourced, he said they were from backwoodsCBD.com.
