To catch up..i finish my spring grow very happy...filled a lot of jars....now onto the Lavender project for summer....or so I thought....


I set half the bought Lavender seeds both Auto and photos away..the only mission was to grab a cross with both....sigh...so I stuck 10 of mine in the top of the pot for a few males.

Then the heat dome hit. ..one of those conditional things you can't really avoid when you are outdoors....... temps topped 60C in full sun on the patio..with no air movement...for over a week......pfft....

7 of my girls germed..gave me 5 boys and 2 girls..stumped...but at least they Tried...

Not a bought seeds even raised a head....


So ...I'm gutted...but hey..tough conditions.....

So as luck would have it.. early August..the heat dome moved and we got cooler temps...and I thought come on..germ the rest...at least you might catch a cross on the Autos...


Germed them into 20 ltr pots...so they were portable and if the sun got bad I could knock them into shade for a bit.....

A couple germed...and absolutely failed to thrive......so...that was the end of the project....sigh...

I had a pack of freebie Moby Dick...so I threw those in...

Got 1 and a freaky out of 5....but low and behold...the good one decided to go for it....

So in me excitement of actually getting 1 bloody plant to grow for my over 100 euro investment...I set a pot of mine away to get a male and make the cross...coz it's all I'm getting for the money.......

Then 2 days ago I looked up Moby Dick genetics..........

75% SATIVA ...I don't get Satis...

Haze...I don't get...and I've had an assortment from LBH... didn't float my med boat....

Knowing my genetic pool......that would be like throwing the anti christ in.......so why bloody bother...... I'll call it a wrap.


The money and disappointment stings me soul thought.......back to mine...they don't disappoint..

@Waira ...we know hubby knows nowt about plants... except he likes his Satifas...and I don't grow satis.......

He came and asked are they the seeds you bought...?...yes...

Meanwhile, after my security issue, I think I've found some spots at Garden Two.
Will need to amend a bit, but have solutions nearby.

Am trying to get my seeds to germ, but stored so badly, they are mostly not germing...
May drop the last of my Hazes, and see if they finish by ... March?!?!?!
But also may acquire some autos, thinking of ACE Auto Zamaldelica.
Have the sativa qualities against the humidity and rain, but faster than the photos by many weeks.

I took down the Helter Skelter yesterday. She was stacked heavy with greasy skunky nuggs. The season is wrapping up 3 plants left out in the garden with a couple weeks left on them.

The Rev fell victim to the chopping block Saturday. Wild musty dank fruity aroma off it. She is definitely a looker.

The look fantastic Jean, cracking season overall! ...just wish that blast of shit weather didn't hit you at the worst possible time, or it would have been damn near perfect. Everything else came together so nicely, especially the size and canopy management
Can you imagine the hot mess they would have likely been if the plants were last season's size/bulk?! -- the weight and drag would have blew them up, soft trellis' are no match for those kind of winds!

I can't imagine what your dry room smells like now with the crazy mix of stanks getting released

How close is she GH? Please do get some close-up's of live bud at night with flash, you'll need them for them Comp voting -- this beast is a total contedah!
That jail house cage was the right call ...but it's gonna be a bit of a trick to harvest - ...maybe just snip free the branches poking out first, then peel away the cage...
Trim jail is going be a peach too ...and drying, what's your plan? You're going to have a mighty heap my man!

There is a bad Juju munster that visits at random, I swear! The germ'ing for me this year was unaccountably shite, my usual clockwork MO was suddenly toxic ... I bet some of your troubles was from old/poorly treated seeds before they even came to your door! Or maybe they got dry roasted on the way to you..? And the freebies, well that sounds typical
It's still a worthy project, try again in Spring... Perhaps meantime, some better sourcing and deals will sort out

I'm feeling the burn too here, only with shit weather at the WORST possible time ...onto week 3 of mold friendly, dry-unfriendly conditions...
...back to back weeks of southern subtropical spin-up = warm, muggy light rain... a third milder round again got sucked up today followed immediately by a northern system turning it much cooler but still very high RH%... fekfekfek!

KSNL's are nearly done; looks like Sunday and Tuesday for chops and none too soon with this weather! At least Fri-Sat will be dry, cool, and with lower RH%... It's the bloody Rots that are my concern!

That's a tiny bit disappointing. Tiny.

Definitely happy with the structure of the girl and for sure the bud stacking. Big colas are cool, but I prefer see exactly this outdoors.

If @Jean-O can see some worth in the cross, when the grow room gets built, I could do a little hunting.
Pop a bunch and take some backup clones. I think it'd be pretty cool since I've never done that.

Little surprised at that much dominance, but I'm still a newb.

The buds look reasonably firm.
