Gnome Automatics The 300$ hoop house

so the is my personal first attempt at an outdoor grow all on my own.

I wanted a greenhouse given the shit weather at the end of the season here so this is what I did.

Roughly 300$ in base material got it up and structurally sound. I’ve added irrigation as well as air flow but the basic structure cost 300$ in the pnw

18x10x8 hoop house from pvc and plastic.

Materials
1x2 slats
2x2 rails
2x3 framing
2x4 sub frame
20ft 3/4 pvc schedule 40
20 ft 1 inch pvc anchor tubes
4mil plastic cover (expect replacement each season)
6 mil front cover
3/4 plastic binders
Misc screws 1 1/4’’ - 3’’

If wanted I can draw up the plans but this was build from a sketch pad.

What's the plan for the floor, and venting?

Very impressive construction skills. Are you planting straight to the ground, or in pots and planters? How much longer will the Hoop House extend your outdoor growing season?

Nice job, my buddy built 2 of these only thing I think you will need is added ventilation. He took PVC and attached it to plastic with gorilla tape and can roll his sides up and down depending on weather.

Thank you my friend, this was built with you in mind. Made sure I did what I could to secure it too. I don’t wanna ask my neighbor for my greenhouse back

That we do! But don’t you worry there has been a few doobies smoked in there to break it in.

Yeah I can’t wait to explor it. Really looking forward to the results in there.

Floor is dirt we’re going direct to ground. I spent about 200 on amendments and soil prep. I’ll get the list together.

Venting and air flow are controlled by the sides they have the ability to roll up and down. There is a 20 in box fan bringing in fresh air and a 900 cfm blower at the front.

Thank you sir, all from my pops honestly taught me a few things and it’s paid off. Plus being around the farmed helped me get an idea of what I wanted. Should extend it a few months one or someach way. Big thing is the wet season starts getting here in September. Need cover for that. Direct ground is the plan sir.

I appreciate that sir, and hope that it does well. Biggest thing I want are my sativa crosses to have time to finish plus I have a true Durban going so it’ll take time to finish.
