Hey guys, thanks to the cool ass dudes over at FastBuds, I'll be growing out a three pack of Pineapple Express. This will be my second run of this company's genetics, I was highly impressed with the overall quality, potency and speed of the West Coast OG. The shit was bomb. If these are anything like those, I'm in for a treat. I've seen this grown out before here (check out KUDO'S Pineapple run, he killed it) and it seems pretty damn yieldy as well. Good shit :D Let's begin ;)

Dropped these in water, had tails in about 20 hours. Gingerly placed into Rapid Rooters, they are heaving at moment. Everyone is still wearing their safety hats. I'll post the obligatory seed packet pick next to the fresh seedlings when everyone breaks ground.

I'll be running 600w veg/1000w bloom HPS this cycle. Trying for optimal plant size, going all out for these. Opting for soil instead of hempy this run, I need these to be photogenic the entire run, and when things get out of hand in a hempy, they do so rather quickly (but are quick to correct, in its defense). For this reason, I wont be LSTING this round. I want these to look optimal, and I think letting the plant's natural shape shine through might be a better artistic choice than racking the bitch. I also have a creeping suspicion these may behave better without the training, given the relatively short stature (light should penetrate down to the bottom anyway).

Strain Stats for the record:

Genes:sativa/indica
Flowering: 9 weeks from germination
Harvest US: up to 1.3 pounds per light
Height US: up to 55 inches
THC:20%
CBD:0.9%

Pineapple Express is a perfect combination of sensations and flavors, comparable to a fine Brandy or a handmade sports car, It's a marijuana variety created for those who love pleasure and know how to savor every fine morsel of life. Tasty and exemplary overall, this is without a doubt, one of our best autoflowering strains. It's a hybrid formed from an ideal combination of genetics with fruity flavors

Taste

Pineapple Express offers a mixture of unforgettable aromas: ripe fruit, tropical and sweet, very sweet pineapple; sensations that will lead you to discover pleasures like sex. Pineapple Express is for those who have hedonistic palates - those who like to indulge in a delicious desert and sweet liquor with attractive companions in a luxurious restaurant.

Effect

Thanks to its high THC levels and the pleasurable effects induced by its aroma, this variety is a fantastic aphrodisiac, able to stimulate the sexual appetite and heat up the coldest, most frigid room with hot sex energy in a matter of moments. Its smoke is pleasant with a deep juicy pineapple flavor. It reduces anxiety, increases happiness and produces a sensation of weightlessness, the high is like foreplay - a soft entrance that after five minutes leaves you free of rational thoughts and totally uninhibited. All you'll be left with is pure instinct and a deep need to offer up your desires to the heat of the moment.

Growing

Pineapple Express is a feminized and autoflowering strain that can grow large. It's a great Sativa Indica hybrid and the autoflowering genetics are superb, resulting in extremely rapid flowering times. For this reason, its name contains the word “Express”. While growing this plant you'll get the impression that you're in a tropical party full of happiness and sweet lusciousness. A more pronounced effect is apparent in cold countries where the plant floods the cultivation room with exotic and tropical aromas. The intense pineapple smell entices one to take special care of it during the entire harvest, like if you were preparing a tasty gourmet cake. Its cultivation is simple, pleasant, and very fast, since it will be completely mature within 60 days, and can yield 300 grams per plant (10 oz) when conditions are favorable. It is quite a large autoflowering variety, and can reach a height of 140 cm (55 inches). For this reason we recommend 10 liter pots (3 gallons). Plus, it's fine for novice growers since it only needs special attention with regards to pH and light, but you should judge the plant by its results - it's worth it! This strain does well with added fertilizers except for nitrogen, which you should use in moderation. This plant can surprise one with its distinctive characteristics. It seems like a pineapple, not only due to its aroma, but because while growing it develops a profusion of cones and robust dark green leaves. After the first week of flowering it starts to build up a coating of resin that, by the end of flowering (which lasts about 54 days), will cover the entire plant.

Late, but these are Day 1 pics (still getting back to the normal routine after the holidays):

Day 1 (took 3 days for everyone to shed seed casings):

Everything is all good :) I'll keep more frequent updates this round for the sake of documentation

allright! its on

LOL, lets get it on! (Mills Lane reference). I'm excited for this comp, but I'm even more excited to get these genetics outside next season, I'm gonna run an assload of these (strains undecided), and I'll have had the pleasure to see them grown out before I have to make strain selections. Its gonna be a good 2016 :D

KK, girls looking even better this run :) They seem to behave a bit better in promix than in the hempy's (I had some nute issues last run I still haven't dialed in, but have a better finger on, just switched to DynaGro from Foxfarm). One is leading the pack, but they are all reasonably sized. I'll post pics tonight, they have matured alot.

Finally posting  My bad dudes, its been a hectic holiday season (having to do the safety dance with family from both sides in town is tiring :nono: )

They are looking great, these are truly autopilot this run (which is greaat, if these were fickle I'd already be doomed, LOL). All of these a really indica dom, the leaves came out fatty from the start. Here is the lineup:

The biggun:

The runt (not really, just the smallest of the trio this run. About the same size as the second one, although it was the last to emerge from its seed casing):

Back in town, 12 hours of driving later :( Dog tired, but the babies are freakin huge!!!! Gonna have a smoke an a tea, and I'll post some updates. They are thriving btw. If I can say anything about this particular stain at this point, its that this is some of the hardiest/maintenance free shit I have grown in recent memory. I have pretty much been absentee this round, compared to the level of diligence I usually have for garden maintenance. These haven't suffered for it that much, I have to wonder how these would have gone if I could have given them my full attention! Anyway, let me have my poof, and update these journals

Btw, tip from a recent convert, if you havent switched over to an automated watering system, even in pots, you should seriously do so. It will change your life. Like sliced bread, or penicillin.
