Good to have you in on the journey Vapo!! I think I have some 6 liter plastic pots around here somewhere.....maybe a better option? Will it outgrow the space in a 6 liter though .

.......subbed up dude....I use 8 litre fabric and water once a day.....buuuuuuuuuuut even then they can get pretty dry, when they are in flower.......and the strain?.....IDK if Mephisto do a small and not smelly dude.......I think Northern Cheese Haze was the least smelly....but she ain't small.....:smiley1:

I'll add very little perlite and use a standard plastic pot....maybe a saucer will help?? If I have to water it morning and evening it won't be the end of the world I suppose, but it will drive me mad

my 3L are airpots and my soil mix is very light with a good 30%+ of perlite.so maybe a less well draining pot,heavier soil and a bit of luck ya can pull it off
was it dr bubbles that had the buckets n led screw in bulbs in the micro section,but its very quiet at the mo.

the twice a day might not be needed for first half of grow
small pots somewhere the likes of hairy n me would melt.i think hairys an austrailian,just takin the piss outa me cause he got a set of jocky wilson darts
1 1/2 x 2 x 3 or H46 W61 L91 similar floor space to what i have 1/3 the height.i see where hairy is coming from now with multi pots

I'm not going to let you two talk me into a 27 plant shot pot grow .....I'm thinking a 1gal pot will drive me crazy enough without adding solo cups to the mix..... well I might grow 1 in a solo cup if hairyman lets me borrow his darts!

A pic of my setup....I don't know how to use the timer so thinking 24/7 lighting. I can put 1 light length ways and get it sitting a couple of inches away from plants.....I can also make up something to hang lights higher if I run out of vertical space....thinking lots of bondage and maybe topping is going to be needed?

So It's coming into winter here and I've been toying with the idea of growing a plant indoors. Setup is a plastic tote and two t5 cfls. Not sure on pot size, strain or how to grow indoors yet. Thinking about a 4litre pot with the same potting mix I use outdoors? I was going to do a mephisto order this weekend and I'm open to ideas about what strains to order, preferably something indica dominant low odor and pretty quick that won't get to big as I only have limited space. My box can only accommodate about 18 inches of vertical space and is about 24 inches wide × 36 long. I can put her outside in full sun of a daytime as temperatures rarely fall below 20c of a day and bring her back inside of an evening? Size or final weight doesn't matter as it's only a bit of fun to see if I can grow some nice buds with my cheap shitty setup. Open to any ideas on what I'm doing as I've never grown a plant longer than a month inside before. Will a 4 liter pot need watering more than once every 24hrs? @archie gemmill @hairyman you guys are probably going to get asked some really dumb questions in the next few months

My last successful indoor run was pretty similar to your set up here.
A shelf maybe 18" x 15"+, under a big CFL and a little COB LED.
Area was maybe 24" high max, from bottom of pot to the top.
Temps were maybe .... IIRC, 23C - 32C, or so.

I crammed 7 pots in there, 8 plants.
4 auto strains in 2 L pots (one pot had two plants),
and 3 photo strains in 1 L pots (haha!!!)

Mostly soil, with some worm castings, some kelp and organic pellet fert.
I watered almost every day, but sometimes if the 2L had a good soak, no need.

Two of the photos were supposedly sativa dom, and they were too long and didn't do well.
The other photo was a hybrid, topped her, and she did okay.
The autos were all mostly indica dom.
I topped two strains, and they did well, kept nice and low, well within the space.
Not topped was a Sweet Skunk auto, super fast, but small,
and not topped were two Jackpot autos crammed in one 2 L pot (they were very small when young),
which ended up not too tall either and very nice little auto plants.

My grow should be in my sig line below, if you want to see a bunch of details.

But... soon hope to repeat the grow, same space and lights.
But, am aiming for 4 or 5 pots, 4+ L each.
Won't top, but will bend over and LST them.
The 2L plants were small, but could have got bigger in my space.
So hoping 4+L pots will fill up the height more, and provide bigger colas.
Also will use more coco coir this time, for more root expansion.

Yeah, lots of LST for sure.

I think a bunch of 1 gal pots would be perfect.
1L and 2L a bit too small, and restricted full bud development, I feel.
And maybe 2 gal ( = 7+ L) would be far too big.
1 gal = 3.7 L may be about perfect.
LST or ScroG them, but I'd say don't top them if you can get away with just bending.

Ok so I have just ordered a strawberry nuggets, gold glue and double grape....I will probably start them all and keep the smallest plant indoors and the rest can go outdoors after a few weeks inside. If it starts to stink out the house she can live in the shed :smoking:

The double grape will serve you well here she stays pretty short if you top her. I have only ran Strawberry nuggets once you probably are going to need to lst her I grew her in a 2 gallon and she got pretty tall.

Awesome, thanks for stopping by and sharing your wisdom with me @somebody . I just finished reading Archie's 1 liter pot journal and am nearly finished reading 1 of hairyman's....I will be reading yours from cover to cover next.
I have a new found respect for you guys that are growing in such small pots as I struggle to keep up with 10gal pots outdoors sometimes . I was originally only going to try and grow the 1 plant in the space but am now thinking 1 might be able to squeeze 2 or 3 into it . Be a shame to waste space and light right? If it starts to get to crowded I can always put 1 in a bigger pot and leave it outside.
1gal pots seem like the way to go. How was the density of your buds from under CFL? I'm thinking lst will be a good way to be able to keep my light close to them....?....I'm really looking forward to this grow as it's a lot different than anything I've done yet...usually I'm trying to get plants as big as I can with unlimited space, this is going to be a blast . I'm even more excited now knowing that you have pulled off a grow in similar conditions
