Hello everyone,

This is my 3rd grow and trying to figure out some deficiency issues. Currently im growing 1 DP TD and 1 Kannabia Baby Boom in my stealth cabinet. BB was a freebie so i decided to give it a shot. Right now my TD is in 12 lt airpot, BB sits in ~8lt regular pot. As a soil grower i mixed biobizz allmix and light mix. Light mix on the top and bottom is filled with allmix soil. My light is Topled(marshydro now i believe) 96x3W reflector series.

Anyway i started my grow like a month ago. i believe Baby Boom is around 35 days and TD is around 26-27 because i ran out of soil and i had to order it before planting the TD. My first problem is with TD's height. when i look at other grower's journals their think different plants grow quite tall during first month but mine is like a midget! She is quite bushy and already got 6-7 nods but she insists growing any taller! In fact its so busy im having hard time watering! I also grew TD in my second grow, she started like this first then gained some height but it seems this one likes to be on the ground. Is this normal? Do you think it will affect the yield?

Lets return to BB. She started to giving me some deficiency issues. Lower leaves are getting light green and spotted some yellow, brown spots on them. During my 2nd grow i was using some regular feritilizers (with okayish N-P-K values) and tap water (in an open container waiting 48 hours to evaporate clorine) and still got call mag issues with TD strain so i decided to go pro on my 3rd grow and bought AN's micro-grow-bloom set and sensi's cal-mag solution. I am using half of the recomended amount of fertilizers and got electronic ph meter and phing the water solution to 6.4-6.5. Still i got some that light green bottom leaves and spots. Those brown and yellow spots are also on lower leaves with shows that light green deficiency however top leaves are perfectly healty on Baby Boom. TD doesnt show any of those symtops yet but she is not growing taller.

Any advices? Thanks.

Lights on 18/6 schedule, temps around 23-18 celcius.

TD on the left, BB on the right.

Hay bro sorry I've not replied sooner. Its not unusual to loose bottom leaves so don't worry to much about that, if new growth excibets deficiency's then you may have a problem but a flush will usually amend that if your parameters are in check.
what height have you hung the light through veg? To low could cause the super tight node spacing but it could also be genetic, I've got a DP White Widow at the moment that's barely 30cm lol.
Whats the Humidity in the room bro? Ideal environment under LED is 35-45% for the entire grow and between 26-28c.

Hey TaNg,

Thanks for the reply, i started to loose hope :) While waiting for an input and i spent couple of hours and realized i have cal-mag def. I did flush the soil, my first runoff was around ph 5.1 and its now 6.3. I also bought some calcium carbonate to buffer the ph in the long run.

About height, its around 50cm from the top of the plant. I dont know what wrong with this TD, it has zero deficiency signs, but it doesnt grow upwards in any way. I also flushed this one because i was using same amount of ferts and water with baby boom and figured ph might be locked out with this one too. Btw, Baby boom still gaining some height even after deficiency issues.

Temps are mostly 24-20C celcius and humiditiy around 40%. I also got home made CO2 generator inside the cabinet, blowing CO2 directly over the plants through the tubes.
Thanks for your input.

Yeah sorry I didn't get to you sooner I had a break for a few days, not sure why no one else responded? I honestly think the TD is a runt, they will pop up in autos from time to time because of the Rudi genes. I think your doing well bro so just keep it up.
soon as I've walked to dogs I will show u my little white widow so u don't feel alone lol with the runt lol.

Flushing definitely worked, baby boom is back on track now! However this TD is killing me, got so many nodes but total height is like 20cm! Light distance is like 50cm from top of the plant. Baby boom is in smaller pot, they got exact same conditions yet she is doing more than i expected. Bad genetics on Think Different i guess.

Here is 2 new pics. Baby boom is started to drink more, my 5 day watering cycle is not keeping her happy, so i will feed her more frequently.

I have noticed with LED lights, if the lamp is too close some plants will not grow vertically or very slowly. If you have a veg only switch try turning it on and the bloom switch off. I have my lights about 24 inches in veg mode only. Once the plants get about 12 inches tall I will turn on the bloom switch. And as mentioned some auto's will be runts and some will grow taller than expected. As I have found there is a learning curve to using LED lights. The plants can react differently than they would under HID.
