The rented house I moved into had a SERIOUS Calcium deposit issue on both the upstairs and downstairs toilets.
There was so damned much of it and it was also a dark brown ( ewwwww ).
I have gone through about 6 toilet brushes and 10+ bottles of toilet descaler.Every day, I was using the descaler, scrubbing for a minute on application and letting it sit for 24 hours before scrubbing the hell out of it. (I didnt leave myself with no loo - I alternated the days for the separate toilets)
This had taken off about 50% of it.
Today, I thought 'Screw this' and dropped about 5ml of pH Down into the toilets.
An hour later, I noticed that the water had started to stain (never seen that with the Brand name Descaler).
Got the loo brush out - 5 seconds of scrubbing and the entire LOT flaked off.
A CRAPTON cheaper than buying those brand name toilet descalants, and only took an hour of soaking...
