Hi, one of my Dinafem white cheese auto seems to be a little ahead of itself then the others. It's only on day 53 , but I think it might be getting close to harvest ?

Not sure where to ask noobie questions, so I parked it in the infirmary.

Thx.

My personal opinion would be 2 more weeks feed then a 2 week flush maybe even three. There still alot of green in those leaves.

Hey GoAuto, that's the answer I was hoping for. Seems like a lot of amber and was worried it was going to finish up so early. This is 2x now you've been there for me right after I post :D . You're not going to start charging are you :P

Dinafem's website says "75 days comprehensive life cycle."
THC (but not necessarily other cannabinoids) is maximum while the trichomes are still clear https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/threads/trichomes-thc-and-couchlock.30668/
Harvesting with half clear half cloudy works best for some of us.
As you pointed out, this plant seems precocious, and might be ready before 75 days.
A lot of pros don't flush https://www.rollitup.org/t/the-grea...-and-in-depth-look-at-the-final-weeks.524474/

If it were my plant, and I needed herb, I'd cut off a few colas soon, and try them, assuming at least half the trichomes are cloudy.
Best would be to dry, but I've heard of people smoking fresh harvested. Drying typically reduces the weight by a factor of 5, so 5 times as much wet weight would need to be smoked.
Many people trust the same advice that early harvest is more cerebral, and late harvest more couch lock, but each of us should see whether that applies to us.

That's good good info, I'll keep it in mind.

I only have a 5x eye spy right now . I am unable to really get a good visual on the trichomes. I can sort of see them better in the pics when I zoom in but that isn't enough either (bad eyes). What do you guys recommend for getting a good look at them ?

I was looking over some of that info about flushing. What worries me is I notice some weed that I have come across has a chemical kind of taste/smell. Is that from not flushing ?

Unless you grow organic, you need to flush! The chemical taste and harsh smoke is due to nutrients left in the plant..

Muddy has an artical some where around here called how to tell when your auto is done, I'll look for it.
