Lighting Time to start building.

Ahhh thats right,i remember looking for the 3500's and a few places were sold out,is that what you bought??
I went with 1812s 4k. I would love to rattle you off some specs and the reason why they are better. Instead I will be honest and tell you @BigSm0 suggested them and I was able to locate them. I am sure he can correct me if I am wrong. I am under the impression that 4K is stronger in veg with little downside in flower.

Good to know,i think there was morw availability for the 4k...

3500k and 4000k are similar, you are correct Aj. Budelee 8 is plenty for a 4x4. I'm running 4 in the same space and overly impressed with the light. In my Amare section I have the lights raised to 30" above the canopy while pouring on calmag and still seeing signs of stress. That's 450watts in a 4x4 as well. From a light output standpoint each 50w cob is equal to a mars hydro 300 just with a more complete spectrum and more intensity. 8 mars hydro 300's in a 4x4 is plenty lol

All good,im looking at the links you sent in my thread and its looking like availability of parts to build my one lamp is shit, each part has only a few and not enough to build even one lamp, they said somebody named @BigSm0 bought everything they had, thanks bro!!! Only kidding on that last part, but yes most part dont have enough stock...figures now i have the money and theres not enough parts....any ideas to help

44x2 driver 88.00
8x18 Heatsink 144.00
8x18 Cobs&holders 144.00
Wire 3.00
Thermal Interface 8.00
Plug 7.00
1/8 Angled Aluminum 40.00
Total $434.00

Now that did not include shipping but I had a discount code for cobkits which pretty much offset the shipping. You can also do better on the plug and the angled aluminum I just buy from a local hardware store that is a little bit more expensive. Try to shop local when I can. This is total is about 20.00 more than I paid for my Mars Hydro 2 1200 which is supposed to pull 550 watts but does about 475 if I remember correctly.

I was originally going to run 12 cobs on the two drivers to increase the efficiency, but I have my temperature dialed in with this set and it is working great. I am going to use the other cobs and heat sinks I ordered to make a smaller light for a small tent and flower some photos in there. :bong:
Where do you order parts from I can get the aluminum cheap here where I live I am going to check into them doing a couple custom heat sinks for me I'll let you guys know if they can make them cheaper than what you paid

Budelee it took me a week or two of checking just keep the money on hand an d when you see your parts buy them. You can't afford to hesitate.

I went to cobkits and northern grow lights.

These parts are becoming more popular which will then lead to more stock in Distributers. I have to preorder parts 6-8 weeks in advance when buying any stock as they are boat shipped from china and Japan. Same goes for cobkits and ngl, they stock tons of parts but unfortunately this all cost a lot of money. It's also impossible to stock everything.

I could probably hook you up depending on what you need. I just got 12 more boxes delivered.
