Lighting Time to start building.

Whatever @BigSm0 says.
still following along bro,my check came in today(no dude not a welfare check) so i will be ready to revisit my parts list and start getting things ordered..my original build was gonna have 12 cobs on it but if you say that 8 are good for the 4x4 area i may go that route..

Yeah i mean 12 would be more efficient but honestly I have eight in there and the coverage is great. So i am going to use the other four heat sinks and cobs and get like a small tent for photos or random stuff. I understand about the check had to wait till I received my year end bonus to buy the stuff.

Awesome,i will re read your joirnal and see hiw it matches up against what i was gonna build..were you able to get all the parts( minus the hardware store stuff) from the same place??

What was the cleanest way u found to cut the aluminum?

I did the drivers and heatsinks from cobkits and the cobs and holders from northerngrowlights. In theory you can get them all from one place, but I have found stock is up and down at all the sites especially when it comes to cobs and spectrum.

Its only 1/8th inch aluminum I used a hacksaw and a vice does not take much. You could use a dremel tool if you have one.

Ahhh thats right,i remember looking for the 3500's and a few places were sold out,is that what you bought??

No this is surely like an hour or two worth. I got everything out smoked a bowl...Drilled some holes, watched some TV. Then went to lunch and hardware store for more screws. Screwed some more stuff had some beers. Then dinner with the wife another bowl. Attached some heatsinks....bitched in live stoners staring at cobs and thermal tape as of right now.

@Eyeoftheworld this is the fuck off all day distracted schedule it is not very efficient.

my kinda day ;)
