Tiny clear worms eating seeds & roots

Its a real crap shoot for which bugs you'll get lol Was told it can vary from batch to batch depending on where they source all the materials :cuss:

Found another mix @ my canadian tire store i might try out instead.

sphagnum peat moss, coco coir, aged softwood bark, perlite, worm castings, bat guano, feather meal, bone meal, blood meal, sulfate of potash, kelp meal, and volcanic ash.

:backside: Ocean Forest- pffffff.... I wouldn't bury turds in that swagg!

Shum' that looks OK to me, though I wonder why they call it a hydro mix with that list of ingredients,.. that's a true soil IMO,..... most hydro mixes are usually very basic, few ingredients  ... mate do you have a pH meter? You can test the pH out from the bag directly doing a slurry test. 1cup soil, 1 cup Di/RO/ low ppm water (no buffering allowed is why); mix and let sit for about a 1/2 hour; drain off fluid and test with meter,... this will give you a decent pH reading and let you know if the soil is good to go or needs fixing some,....

Was gonna pass it by when i seen hydro in the title cause i figured the same thing,Thought it would be just another glorified peat mix :nono:

Slurry test was the first thing planned lol Bought a couple meters last year and pretty spot on for cheapies also have a bag of lime on stand by just in case

Lime takes a while to adjust Ph its good for sitting soil but not pop up problems. That soil looks good if its not too hot for seedlings . Wait did you say you got it from a tire store LOL thats cool that they sell grow stuff everywhere now lol I drive 1hr to get my stuff.Tag me in your next grow when you get started.

Oh i know it takes a little while for it to adjust,Went through the bag and scooped up all the dust and tiniest particles in the bottom
Not really a tire store :crying: Its kind of like a one stop shop for home and autos lol Grabbing the mix tomorrow or the next day when ever my damn boss drops off my check,Already figured she might be a bit hot for seedlings so those are gonna be going into pro-mix to start em out and sex em.

Already started a grow log but between me frying some seeds and then these little bastards eating up all my others i gave up on it for now lmao! I'll tag ya up later after i get all my crap together and drop more beans :smoking:

:pass:

:smoking: you know, places like Home Despot, Slowe's, and smaller chains are bringing in more and more cannabis oriented products-- on the down-low! ...freakin' Smellmart here has most of the main Fux Farms line of nutes, lots of the Earth Juice products and some others piece meal,... $$ talks baby!!
Shum, the Roots Organic soil line is pretty good (707 is too hot for most seedlings) and usually readily available,... it can't hurt to ask the store garden center manager if their distributors carry lines that may not be in actual stock,... usually ships free to store-... Look around for Royal Gold King's Mix, best soil I've used to date!
Consider doing starter pots my man, or rather 24-32oz cups which are good for 10-14 days about,... use the mild soil in them, and then use the hotter soil in the final pot.... this can help you confirm the bug-free final soil while they stay in the cups..... here's a tutorial I did on low trauma transplanting using 32oz styro cups --- https://www.autoflower.org/threads/a-low-trauma-way-to-transplant-using-larger-size-cups.65867/

Hard to find good soil mix around my area without ordering it online,Just gonna pick up the root farm stuff and give her a try plus its the easiest one to grab since i need to go to that store anyways for my other stuff lol

Have my little 1.8l pots i'll be using for starting  They're 4.75'' X 8'' so have a good depth and won't get root bound before transplant,Hell i've used em before for entire grows a few times

:smokeout:

Freaking pro-mix! :cuss:Don't think i've ever seen a bag with a proper ph lol

Picked up my crap today finally but decided to hold off on main soil till i figure out what i want to do,Was kind of put off by that Root Farm stuff i posted as sure enough its full of those little bastard gnats too :nono: Theres a member here using it going through that problem now lol

Picked up a pack of those skeeter dunks anyways to be on the safe side for which ever route i go but for now its pro-mix and ewc

Pro-Mix ph.JPG

At least this batch of pro wasn't low 4's like my last bag :rofl::rofl:

.... best thing to do is make that fast tea with the dunks crumbled up... did I tell you how already? ......that's weird shit on the promix, it has lime in it already and shouldn't be that low FFS!.... Well, make up a batch with it, let it sit for a few days and see if it adjusts,... What's the dual meters testing Shum, slurry liquid from the Promix?

Yup told me about mixing them on 1st page

Thats the slurry water,Did a 1:1 mix like you said and let her sit for 1/2 hr,For shits and giggles i tossed some lime in a bottle with some distilled and was at 9+ ph so i made another batch of slurry with that water it and came out same ph pretty much :finger:

Just got done mixing it up and added 1tbsp of dolomite per gallon so we'll see how she goes,Think they're just packing the stuff and shipping it right out quick after its made so no time to adjust properly :(
