Lighting Too much light?

Yes, I do tie down LST often. I was just wondering if that was what Bigsm0 was talking about.

Yes it was tying and training branches to let in more light. I understand every situation is different and not everyone cares about yield but this is the best way to get more out of every plant. The growth of side branches still amaze me. I often see many single branch plants and just want to reach into my phone and pull it over. Lol It also seems like high stress training is taking over. I did recently defoliate and did some topping. The results weren’t good. The plant almost seemed to stop growing for a half a week. One soft tie would have the same result and less stress. I don’t get it.

Me too.

Its interesting how many threads and discussions there are on "too much light" or "light stress" etc.

I love the autocobs because they allow so much customization and flexibility for how many lights you want in a given space, and where you want to put them on the X or Y or Z axis. Right now I'm putting my lights off center of each plant. So I have lights on the side branches. With side by side plants the lights end up being on multiple plants. Each plant also has two lights on it but not two in a bad way (like two directly on top and really close to canopy = bad). And I can adjust the height on each one. It's so flexible.

Thank you for this. It did take awhile to catch on but this flexibility is taking over the lighting industry. Something I tell everyone that doesn’t know me well is that being a grower and selling lights is actually a rare combo but very beneficial. I could have painted another companies light pink and called it something new. The difference is that I saw these above mentioned benefits in my mind almost instantly. Just so happens it actually works very well too. I do like the 2 cobs per plant idea exactly as you said. My biggest plants were grown this way. Much less intensity but more light over all.

Ther is a guy that is doing mondo S&M treatment to his autos... mainlining and severe defoliating and his results are incredible he is probably a member on this forum... look for lucky 75 on YouTube. His plant are basically little short bud machines.
