No doubt about it guys, there's lots of good stuff out there by many different breeders,...but there's also plenty of shwag too. Right now it's a total freakin' scrumm amongst these companies to elbow their way into a quickly saturating market, and some product is definitely coming out half-baked. I was so leary of this that I spent hours and hours scanning the threads to try and build some kind of concensus of which breeders were reputable, which strains were good candidates for meeting my grow criteria, and grinding over which ones to try out!! :joint:
The plants look great Mid'! Leaf color is highly variable, both genetically and environmentally; if they're getting strong light, they don't build up as heavy a chlorophyll density because they don't need it, so leaves will be lighter in color, relatively speaking. If you're running strong and long on the light, plants will size up accordingly; maybe if you dial back the duration of light (not intensity), the ladies will stay shorter... (ask around about this from experienced indoor growers, which I'm not... my suggestion comes from what I know about plant responses in general)... those stout AK's in the small pots look like they might get too tight later during budding, stunting prodution likely; you know how much bigger they will get as they flower,.... again, ask around. If they were my outdoor plants, I'd move them up to something 3gal-ish in volume.... take a peek at the root mass by gently lifting out of the pot to assess it's density. If it's a tight basket network of roots now, move'm up. It's too late in the game now to restrict their height anyway, so let'm go nuts, mate! (lol) I get a kick out of the pitcher plant! It looks really tight in there though,... you're in a position to test all this out if you like; leave one AK like it is and up-size the other, just to see...
