Hi guys

I am looking at getting the 900w mars led light , is it worth paying the extra 90$ for the flower spectrum ? On a different note does anyone know what brand led's KINDLED grow lights use in their lights , CREE , Bridgelux or epistar ?

The issue of when and how long to run the UVB is driving me crazy. I have read only run it the last few weeks of flower and then some say run the whole time. I am also concerned because I have 3 plants at about day 40 and 1 at day 20 . Some people say don't run UVB until flowering because it is not good for plants in vegetation. I don't think I buy that because plants in veg would get the same UVB in nature. I am just going to hang it today and just drop the bulb in between and underneath my two leds in the center of the plants and run it 6-8 hours a day until I read something else. I would be interested in what you are planning. There are a lot of opinions out there. Here is a video that someone sent me in a another thread. It is kinda long and alittle technical but it is well worth the watch. He talks about UVBs at the end but gives a good explanation of why trichomes grow at the beginning.

Considering the danger invovlved and the cost/benefit ratio, I wouldn't even waste my time with UV lights. You'd be better off and get better results from upgrading to a more powerful light, or adding a second light.

After much reading, I've found that 5-6 manufacturers make 90% of all LED growlights, and that LG makes more than half of that! Topled, Apollo, etc all use LG lights as a base for their units, that's why they all look alike. So buy whoever offers you the best balance of price/service!

I'm gonna run the UV light about an hour a day from when the light arrives, until the 48 hour blackout period right before chop. I also plan on adding a couple of UFOs to my cab, but that is a bit down the road. For right now, I wanna see if this UVB will stack on the trichs

I am using apollo spectrum witch is 10 band and and ledlightschina spectrum 9 band a ebay comapny who is a manufactuer of many of the different cob lights in cluding apollo purple sun. But ledlightschina does not make the apollo 6 It can get very confusing. That linq of the two apollos from aliexpress is a wicked deal free shipping and so far the spectrum is great for vegging and flowering. The apollos I have have uvb the cob does not I am growing monster plants. In the led lights china section is a chap who bought off of that vendor with out a hitch. 410.00 US for two with free shipping is a super wicked deal and from what I remember they came quite quick. They are heavy and well built IMO and will stand the test of time. If anyting when you want upgrade i do believe you can get the upgraded modulars from GN and they should fit right in Not 100% sure on that. But from what I have read modular is the way to do for ease of fixing

For my alaska legal commercial grow I'm designing, I'm going with the mars2 1600w! Depending on out plant or canopy regulations I could have between 350 and 1000 lights.
I talked to Sara at top led and working up a quote!
I have watched several guys over the last couple months grow wth these and they all did amazing. Icemud, medgrower1 and COfinest! I suggest if you are interested in these Mars 2 5w LED lights, go check out their videos.
One of them had a 5x5 scrog and one 1600w led and walked away with just shy of a dried pound!
