Welcome to a yearlong grow showcasing the Mars Hydro TS 1000 I recently won in their Black Friday Giveaway. I’ll be using this light to upgrade from a 100w panel in my 2x2 Tent with a 2’x2’x2’ organic soil raised bed beneath it. I have averaged ~112g’s per single plant grow under the 100w panel in this setup so I am looking to see an increase in yield and am hoping to execute 4 grows this year in the tent and pull 1 pound in that time. Each grow will use a slightly modified MOG threadmark system so at the end of the year you can throw it in reader mode and easily scope the goods.

I got a few days headstart before the New Year on the first batch of seedlings. The 4 seedlings broke ground 12/27/23 and are a homebred F1 cross of Fastbuds Blackberry x Gnomes’ Coal Miners Daughter. These are Regs so we will be culling down to one plant upon sexing.

Cleared the cover crop out of an abundance of caution as in my other tent it may have offered safe harbor to thrips. Of course the 4 plants in the soil got ripped out too so I just went with it and planted the solo cup Mephisto freebie(good thing I had a backup). Yesterday was day 10 and she was looking on point

Day 16 and she has sexed. The light is set 36” above the canopy and running 75% intensity. Using the Photone app and a piece of paper I get around 285 ppfd and a DLI of around 25. Been running it higher than I want as I need a certain amount of heat from the light and to do that I need to run it at a higher intensity than I actually need. To combat this I raise the light higher. Been running 24/0 will be setting it onto a 20/4 schedule this weekend now that she’s sexed

Day 37 Early Flower

Light @75% intensity ~30” above canopy 20/4 schedule(I really should get a sticker measuring tape on the wall or maybe zip tie a yard stick in the corner)
Tent has been clammed up to this point but I may turn on a small intake fan and open the lower vents and allow the RH to drop soon.
Planting dead center then leaning back to a corner has resulted in the plant not being 100% trained the way I want, maybe I’ll try planting toward a corner next round so when it leans the spread will fall center.

I also have this plan, I mentioned 4 grows this year in this setup but I may try for 5. I was crunching numbers and I can easily get five 72 day grows in this setup in 2024. To make this more possible 10-14 days before harvest I will start the next round in the corner in a solo exactly how this plant was started. I should be able to get up to an 86 day window for each plant to harvest.
March 12th 2024- round 1 harvest round 2 transplant
May 23rd 2024-round 2 harvest round 3 transplant
August 5th 2024- round 3 harvest round 4 transplant
October 16th 2024- round 4 harvest round 5 transplant
And then harvest round 5 before the new year
Maybe 16 days before each of these dates I will sow the solo of the next round

Light @100% 20 inches above the plant
Feeding ~600ppm foop bloom @6.4pH
2 gallons every 3-4 days
19 days until round 2 should start, maybe in a weeks time we will put a solo in the corner and get it started

Day 75 for round 1 which was the planned harvest date but we are extending it another two weeks. So I planted Round 2 today into a solo cup, should take 3-4 days to sprout and then we will have ~10 days above ground before transplant which should be perfect.
We will have the pleasure of growing @Jean-O ’s Root Beer Float s2

Solo will set shop in the front corner and gets a wide mouth Mason jar as a humidity dome

Day 81 contemplating chopping her before lights come back on

I took a tester from one of the main tops the other day and it had great effect though I did a quick dry so it’s terps were closer to grass

For some reason my trichome picture is too large to upload I’ll try to resize and then update it just too high to figure out how to do that on my iphone

Last light

Removed any fans without trichomes

Hung her upside down in a 2x4 with a fan off to the side aiming down at the pot trays filled with RO water to increase humidity.

And that Root Beer Float I had germinating was a dud so I just direct sowed 5 of my own auto reg cross named Bernadette which is Forum Stomper x ( Forum Stomper x Coal Miners Daughter) she is my favorite strain I’ve bred and hoping she will put out like always
