I hate when this happens. During the last couple weeks of growth I'll get these like strings of bud that grow out instead of staying nice and compact with the rest of the bud. Any ideas?

CFL's

If you use anything less than 24w bulbs this will happen, then even if you use 24 w bulbs the lights have to be literally 1-2 inches away from the bud sites, however it can be done. Best bet is to upgrade to an HPS to whatever size you can fit or spring for a fancy LED.

From what I can tell from the pic they look absolutely normal... They just look like the buds are packing on more weight... That pretty lady still has a yet to go before harvest.... Sometimes you'll see what's called foxtailing, which you'll see sometimes a bud do late in flower, though that's not what it looks like... How old is she? What strain? Looking good none the less

I dont use cfl's that is just in the pic, shes been under 300w of HPS. SHe's about a week out from chop. Cream Caramel

It's called fox tailing, and usually occurs in the end of the flowering cycle... the more fox tailing the closer to finished your getting ...you got one:Foxy: bud !!!!!
Oh ya, it's normal and encouraged around these parts!

That beautiful foxtailing is a trait of a sativa dom plant like the Caramel Cream. Mine did the exact same thing and I made the exact same post bro. She is a beauty.

I've quickly seen from searching around that fox tailing is very encourage and looked at as a good thing. Why?? lol to me it just makes my plant trimming more of a pain!
