Harvest & Curing Unsure if ready to harvest

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone could help me out in deciding when to harvest. I'm a newbie. I've read a lot of different information. But the real thing is much different then seeing it on a screen. It's white widow roughly 9 weeks. The hairs are turning and I don't have a microscope. I don't want to miss the window. From what I understand it better to earlier than late. Any insite would be appreciated.

From what I understand it better to earlier than late.

If you're completely unsure i'd take it to 75days personally.

Early chop will give you a more uppy high.
Late chop will give you a more stoney (couch locky) high.

THC decgrades it you leave it too long
If you chop it too early it wont have developed.

I took a strain too early and as a consequence the high annoys me - in fact angers me. It will sit in it's jar for a very very long time.

Now i take mine at day 80ish - but more when i think they're ready by looking at trichs, pistils, and leaves.

You can look at the trichs with a scope - check for mostly cloudy. You could go by the pistils receeding (fresh white pisitils usually meands fresh new growth) Or you could follow muddys guide in the thread The Life Cycle of Autoflowering cannabis (ot a thread, when to harvest)

Thank you!!! I'm itching to try her. So have any of you guys harvested by judging by the hairs ? The 3 colas are turning reddish but as you get lower they are still really white.id say about 80%on top and pretty much not turning at all lower on the plant.

You've done an excellent job of growing that plant. Now it is time to let it do the job you grew it to do ... packing on buds ... it's too green to be ready ... I'd keep doing whatever you're doing and figure on 3-4 weeks longer ... 28 more days would still be less than 100 days ... The start of your harvest window is about 3 weeks away and will last about 2 weeks ...

You could do a pratial havest if you think the tops are ready, take them and lower the light to a good distance above the unfinished bits.

I usually take all at once, but my LED is pretty good at getting to the lower buds, not perfect but pretty good! I don't seem to throw out so much of the popcorn these days.

It's a bit naughty, but you could try taking a "little" bud that looks ready - air dry it (or even more naughty - oven dry it at 130- 140C (MAX) for 30 minutes and check. maybe another 10 minutes after that. The THC wont degrade, but it may taste a bit "green")
