I've got some plants in week 2 that have been showing some twisted looking growth. I don't think it would be a deficiency this early, but I can't rule it out. Another plant is also showing similar growth but it's a different strain so I've at least ruled out genetics. I think it may be heat stress but I'm not sure at this point.

They're currently in 3 gallon bags with seedling mix in the top half and ocean forest in the bottom half. No nutes have been given try, just pH'd distilled water. They're under a 50w blurple UFO and a 110w white LED panel at 24". Heat has been an issue since there isn't any air conditioning in the room where their tent is kept. Usually between 77-82 but on hot days it's been as high as 90. I've been using an ice box intake to cool it down when things get really hot, but that only does so much.

Thanks in advance. Let me know if you need more info.

Temps and rH. Small plants don't have the root system to support the above ground plant. RH should be 60 to 70% temps 78 to 82. Your seeing more moisture leaving the plant than it can replace.

Don't know what your seedling mix is, not a fan of wood chips. As they degrade and break down, they can drag your soil to the acidic side, so keep an eye on your medium pH.

When I run outdoor autos, I am always dealing with high temps and low rH. The plants will grow, but you can loose a lot of size off the end plant. Enough that I don't run autos outside unless I can give them 3 weeks indoors first.

I'm using black gold seedling mix. The wood chips are just a thin layer of mulch to prevent the topsoil from drying out too quickly.

rh has been lower than I'd like. I'll add a humidifier in the mix to take care of it.

My little ones usually live under a humidity dome of some kind for the first couple weeks. Usually its nothing more than the bottom half a a 2l bottle upside down with a few holes punched in. Helps keep the rH up were it counts without expending $ on electricity. If you could get the temps down, the rH should come up as well. Many times I hang a wet towel in the tent as well to bring the rH up some.

lmao I completely forgot about the wet towel method. I tried that a while back and it worked really well for short term needs. Humidity dome is a great idea too
