Indoor Using Blue CFL During Flowering

i am still in my Veg stage ( my ex wife would argue that i will never leave it !

When it comes to flowering I will be using an HPS 600w dual spectrum, i think i read somewhere that the actual blue in these is minimal. i get cheap elec at night and do you think there would be any advantage to using the blue CFL's ( 2 x 300 W) at night (7 hours).

At least during early flowering I would have thought the plant was still growing and the extra blue would be of benefit

Or do you think I would be better of using Red CFL's in a vertical config, and have them situated at the sides of the tent rotating them around each night ?

How far along are you in the veg stage? You could use the blue cfls at night if its still in veg,but when she stops her vert growth I would go with the warm or red spectrum.:smokebuds:

Only 12 days into veg, just planning whether it is worth splashing out on 2 red cfls along with the hps

Hi there,

I used 1 x 250 W CFL blue and 1 x 250 W CFL red at the same time and place from vegging through flowering til the harvest. The results were very good.
