Hi,

I have some spare DWC nutes left over (Canna), can they be used in soil?

Want a break from the maintenance and risk of DWC.

Anyone know any good guides about making soil?

THANKS FELLAS

Tried Canna aqua in soil once & it didn't turn out well ?:Sharing One:

the nutrients in Hydro are different for soil, ppm's and all that. It is not a good idea to use them.

get yerself some nutrients for soil, do some good research about ease of use, and just step in and go for it.

If you want to go "organic" there are many recipe's out there. look in the soil section, and some of the stickies in that secton will have the recipes.

Everybody had a soil recipe it seems, lol

HOpe it helps.

Thank you.

It's a cost thing more than anything. I spent a FORTUNE on these! I#ll have a look at canna terra. Like their products.

If anyone else has experience with this let me know please!

I resently saw a grow with hydro nutes in soil... Not really sure whats happen. But hes ladies looked like they have melted... The nutes, or the lights to close..... Something went wrong.

Canna is good but really expensive. There are a lot of comparable nutes that are cheaper H&G comes to mind. As long as you are PHing to the right spot for soil you should be ok with DWC nutes. Your main problem is that DWC nutes are usually more concentrated than soil so when you add 5ml it might be equivalent to 15ml of a soil nute. You'll have no feed chart to work off of, it's all guess work. If you start real slow and watch your plants they should work...how well? :peace:

I used Humboldt Nutrients awhile ago and they were geared and written for DWC.I used them the same exact way in my soil and had no issues three times when I grew with them in soil.but they did say it was ok and it seemed to be.other nutes I dunno,Im sure there is an issue here n there like Eek n DWC mentioned.but I used one brand a few times and had no issues myself in soil.

As for Soil, imo I saw it said best recently as, pick a recipe that works and use that as far as an organic TLO soil goes.and if I remember right at the moment there are about three recipes that Ive seen and heard about that are quite good with excellent results.Best of luck dude, and happy growing and better buzzes..LOL!"AFN smoke out""AFN smoke out""AFN smoke out"

Thanks again guys :D:D:D/

Could I not just use my EC and PH meter to get the feed to the correct strength and PH before watering the plant?

Or doesn't it work like that?

Cheers!
