Lighting UV Lights

Yes you do. To much can burn it up tho. Not like heat stress, but sunburn almost. It does produce more trichs in my opinion, but I don't do it with autos. There alittle too sensitive. But start about 3 weeks into flower. Add it at the hlf way mark of lights on, 6 hrsinto 12/12 cycle, stay for one hour a day. Then every 2 weeks add a extra hr to your timer. But keep it 2 ft above the canopy. No more than 4 total hrs a day. Waste of electricity lol

Also make sure you flush out the nitrogen. And bump your humidity down to about 15 to 20 %. And make temps like 60 F during lights off. Awesome trich production with all these steps.

Got the temps and humidity where they need to be, now I gotta work some UVB magic!

I grow with only CFL's. My UVB is a reptile light as well. My lighting system is 1300 watt equivalent, and are set to timers through the day. I will post pictures soon.

I read that flushing with molasses until chop can result in a "burnt sugar" taste, and that's why I cut the molasses/agave nectar when my flush started last time. Is that true?

I use a very light feeding, 1/8 tsp of each per gallon of RO water. I have never had a "burnt sugar" taste with raw sugar/ unsulphured molasses, but have heard regular granulated sugar will do this.

Overdoing the sugars can cause the plant to not photosynthesize properly, because the sugar is more readily available than its own chlorophyll.

I also dry and cure my plants in a dark room, with all leaves attached for the first 3 to 4 days, to allow the plant to burn off the rest of the sugars.
