Lighting Vipar LED The Manual.

I have a vipar 300 watt reflector series. it works just as well as the high priced model's from other company's. watch out for high priced panels, and don't believe everything that the people say about there high priced panels!! they would look like a fool if they admitted that there overpriced panel did not work any better than a cheaper panel. now that we have a load of vendors, with big flashing adds, and a bunch of testers, testing panel's, their going to tell you how wonderful they are. their claims are questionable. " these panels wont rust , bust, corrode, tarnish, mildew, or collect dust" remember what P.T. Barnum said!

not anymore, I used to hang three cfl's per tent until I had three panels per tent. throw every lumen you can at them.:shooty:i have seen some incredible plants done with just cfl's. a member here on afn, who has not been on for a while,@Noods. won the bom a few times. back in 2011 , 2012.:cheers:

Hey guys. I just bought this vipar 450w, for a (60x60x160) tent i have. Now, im new to this, been reading up and all, but.. I have only autos in there (4 plants, each in 11L buckets) - so im giving them 18/6 schedule now, with about 20" distance. Doing this, my soil temperature on VEG light only, is about 25c. If i turn on bloom at the same time, it gets up to 30 degrees. These are both soil temperatures measured by a parrot flower power - actual room temperature is lower, so for 25c soil = 21 room, 30c soil = about 25/26 room.

Now what i cant figure out is this;

Ive read that you should use both veg and bloom lights at the same time, during the whole thing with autos - and thats just good. Ive also read that you should use only veg for the , well, veg period, then put on bloom for blooming. But, is that then ONLY bloom for blooming, or bloom + veg for blooming?

Also, ive read that temps should be between 18 and 30 - is this room temp, or soil temp? Should i be worried about a soil temp of 30c?

I do have a clip fan inside, that i can turn on to mitigate some heat + make the youngens dance a bit, but i only have it on sometimes, as i dont know yet if it will actually ruin more than do good ( if temps are too low as is ).

Hoping to get some wise words here!

Problem with the couple of Vipars I've used is they have way too much blue. Bud production sucks.

As for cheap lights, yeah great to get started with but they are on the fast track to nowhere. Much better quality lights that are much more efficient
( 50% efficiency vs 22-25% for cheap Chinese lights ) and don't cost much more are now out there. Hell, I've seen grows using a single quality COB
( not those burple junks from ebay ) that puts "450" watt cheap lights to shame. Time to move on to better tech! More Light, less power used, bigger buds!
