Lighting Vipar LED The Manual.

I bought a VIPAR 900 watt reflector type light. I got tired of waiting for Marshydro to update their webpage and if i'm only getting a 1 year warranty, i may as well buy a cheaper light yet still have decent quality hopefully. I got a great deal, average buy-it-now on ebay is $345, i got mine in an auction for $195!

specs are on par for a low end light, basic light. not dimmable, not veg/flower switching.

here are specs are stock pics, will post more when it arrives:

I have a 300w vipar reflector style, also bought from flebay, it is well made and works very well, autos in the 40 inch range.
and inexpensive:2cents: used it on photo plants as well. did the job there too.

First impressions of Vipar LED 900 watt Reflector

Packaging was excellent. I heavy duty box was used. Package was total stealth. No company even listed on the shipping label! Not sure if that's good or bad..........
Thick, closed cell foam was used for packing. The light was well protected.

Exterior finish was very good, better than most growlight paint jobs I've seen. There was some stringy white goop on the back of the light, was a bit sticky but it finally came off and left no marks.

I may open it up to have a look if i do, I'll take pics and post them. There is no veg/flower mode.
Disappointing for a light in the same range as a Mars Hydro Reflector Series, which all have that ability.

Powered up the light and WOOOOOOOO! Lit up my livingroom like an A-bomb had gone off! It made the daylight look dimm!
The fans make some noise, but were much quiter than I expected. Seems quiter than my Marrs Lights.

Tomorrow I'll put it on the watt meter and test actual output.

Here's pics and spec for my new Vipar:
