you should be able to get cheaper "Epsom Salts" in the grocery market. It is the same thing, and the grow shops will probably charge you more.

You can put a 1/4 cup of it in your bath, and it will relax your muscles making sleep come easier too. But if you are paying grow shop prices, that may not be a good idea, lol.

Another idea.
Up to now I only think about CFL lighting.
But now, when I search in the grownshops offer, I see some HPS dual bulb.
I find a 100W HPS dual (12000L) and 150W dual HPS (20000L). It makes me wonder.
I want to use CFL, couse the heat. I figured out I need about 170-200W for my area, what makes enought lumen.
But a 100W HPS give me enought and the 150W is mutch more what I need.
I can lift my box hight if I must about 140-150cm.
Maybe I need a small W HPS?
I dont know how mutch heat generated by a 100/150W HPS.
With a bit cooling and raising height of the box maybe I can use HPS?
What do you think?

One more thing what I do not understand.
What determines how big the plants are growing?
With simple cannabis the light and the if I know it well.
You start the flowering with another spectrum and another quantity. Thats why you can play with the size. Example if you are cloneing you can start flo with 5-10 cm plants. But I dont know how this thing work wit autoflowering starins. Couse the flo is automatic.
Have some method which I define on how big to grow, our it just depend whitch strain I choose?

genetics will determine the height also pot size has an effect

i would prefer the hps over the cfl the 150w hps will not run that hot
really if you want to grow 4 nice plants id want 70cmx70cm room and 250w hps

Unfortunately, the width and the height I can not change. Its a cupboard. The 45X40 cm is fix, I only change the size of the height.
I'm afraid a bit from the heat. I have no experience with HPS, only what I read about it. I dont know how mutch heat generated by a 100W or a 150W HPS. You think its workable for my area? If it is I think I try with this dual spectrum hps. Its mutch more economical than CFL if we see the electric bill and the price.
125W CFL dual (about 9000L) + 2X25W CFL (2400L). 175W CFL 11400L Whole price (bulbs, cable, socket) 100-120 dollar.
100W dual HPS 12000L Whole price (transformer, bulb) 75 dollar
150W dual HPS 20000K!!! 85 dollar

It will be a bit cheaper, and gives me mutch more lumen than CFL. I think if the grown will succesfull I can see the difference between the buds what growned by 11000L CFL or 20000L HPS. (think the HPS gives me better&more bud with less electric power consumption).
The only thing I worry about the is the heat....

Me too, bud. In that space I think you'll be fighting heat issues, mate. Especially during warmer months. Cfl generally use much less power than HPS. Cfl can be super cheap too.

The number of watts determined the power consumption, is not it? Or is this another thing I wrong?
Its made me wondering. A 175W cfl use less power, than 100W HPS?

In our site we have a big and a small house. In winter I live with my family in the big house and in my room I have the cupboard what I transform for a grownbox. In summer I move to the small house, where I live alone, and its give me a chance, to make a custom size box.

So you say 150W HPS will be generated a big heat, what I can't handle in my box?
100W too?

cfls run very hot so imo the heat from 150w cfl and 150w hps will not be that much difference

they dont run cool like t5 or led

I am running a 150 watt in my closet right now. I had three plants that were to mature in 60-70 days. IMO it is not enough light, I wish I had a 400 HPS. My grow area is 1 meter x .75 meters (or for Americans about 3 x 2.25 feet OR 36" x 24") I am on day 83, and have at least a week to go on them, with two of them, and I Pulled one yesterday.
It is true that they do not put out very much heat, I do not use any fans in my area, except a window fan that is not exactly an expeller of heat, but keeps things circulated. The temps stay about 75F

I am not suggesting you use anything, just thought you might want to know my experience with a HPS 150
